About this tournament

As always, I'll drop my review of this event for others. My first disc golf tournament ever was Solstice Soiree 2019 and it's still one of the best on-site camping disc golf events that i've ever been a part of to this day.
The food, the side events, the actual tournament/course layout, and the property are all top-notch and provide an awesome community atmosphere. I would highly suggest any new players wanting to check out a tournament, make this the one. Grab some tents, pay extra for the on-site food when you register, and have a blast.

Need to withdraw due to illness. Sorry for the short notice, home with a fever and flu symptoms.

Sadly I have to withdraw due to injury. My apologies for the late notice, the injury happened yesterday. Thanks!

Hey I know online registration is over but can I sign up tomorrow morning?

Is it too late to get a caddy pass?
Technically yes. But since it's just one caddy pass you can pay me $5 cash Saturday at check-in, if you let me know their name here on this post before 10am tomorrow Friday morning, and I will tie them to you,

Super excited for this tournament and camping soiree! Will it be okay to bring my dog for camp as well as for the tournament rounds? Leashed/well behaved/adorable... It would solve a bunch of problems on my end for trying to find a sitter and leaving him out of his favorite activity.
Hi Eric! While the ranch is pet friendly and I’m sure it’s a good dog, it is against PDGA Rules to have a dog with the group. Please see 3.01-D.

I sent you an email yesterday evening Matt about having to withdraw bc me n the family are sick now. Sorry it was such last minute. We all didn’t start feeling bad until yesterday.
Sorry you guys are sick. Really can’t wait until we can get rid of or at least used to Covid. I hope you all feel much better soon. I wa actually waiting until last minute to refund you, hoping you would email saying you’re feeling better. But alas I got you refunded this evening.

Here is a blog post I created about the 7 new baskets that were recently added to the Sundance Trail Guest Ranch disc golf course, totaling 28 new holes of amazing mountain disc golf fun. There are multiple pictures and descriptions for every new hole, so those coming from out of town aren't in total shock when they get here. https://www.peacejames.co/7-baskets-added-to-sundance-trail

What layout/ how many holes are we playing? Are we playing the new holes?
Yes we are playing the new holes! Thinking about revising old hole 17, new 24. Check the blog and let me know what you think.
So are we playing more than 18 holes for each round? Like the full layout?
Yes once I can confirm the hole 24 to 25's basket, the Solstice Soirée layout would be 27 holes. Remember it is only one round per day.

Sent a withdrawal request, really bummed I can't make the event and looking forward to being in it next year hopefully!! Thank you for all the work!
Thank you I appreciate it. Just got you taken care of. There are three events of the same kind at Sundance this year. Check out peacejames.co for info about Inside The Chains +WGE Powered by Innova August 6-7, and the very first Autumn Chill October 1-2, 2022.

I need to back out of the tournament but a friend signed me up and they can’t withdraw me from the tournament to get the refund, can you help?
Hi Tyler! Sorry I have been sick and not available. Just got you taken care of.

Is the course open for public play?
Check out the new blog post about all the new holes they just added. I also updated the course map on the website because we will indeed be playing them.
Appreciate the update. I hope to be there this weekend practicing for the solstice tourney. Looks like I might sneak in off the waitlist.

Hi Matt! Can I switch from FA3 to FA2 please? Thanks!
Christopher Gregory April 21, 2022 at 2:10am
If I don’t get into the tournament since I’m the waitlist, will I be refunded?
Hi Chris! Yes absolutely, you will be refunded 100% if you don’t get into the tournament.
Ok thanks for the update. I sure hope I get in though, looks like an amazing tournament.
That’s why I’m running three events of the same structure, benefits and fun at Sundance this year. Inside The Chains +WGE Powered by Innova celebrating National Disc Day as well as an official Women’s Global Event August 6-7, plus a brand new event the first ever Autumn Chill PDGA B-Tier October 1-2, 2022.

Did anyone else have PayPal issues? I had to go a different route.
I heard of only one other PayPal issue. Told them to wait a minute or two and try again and then it worked.
Just for the record I had a paypal issue. Ended up using a card. Not a big deal, but figured I'd add the data point FWIW
Matt James April 20, 2022 at 2:47am
I just increased the total capacity by adding two extra holes. Selling out in an hour and a half is not a record but I do appreciate it. Now there’s room for ten more people to have the time of their lives.
This will sell out in 3 mins.
As it should
