BIG THANK YOU to everyone for playing! I hope you had a great time, the weather was fantastic for late October & the course looked great. Special shoutouts to Corinno, Geoff, and Tom for their help getting the course ready and dealing with my stress! Corinno helped a ton during check in while I made sure the course was in perfect shape. Thanks to Trevor Scott for helping put out bags, pick up flags, and other tasks that helped EVERYONE have a great day. I couldn't do it without you guys!

Good evening players!

Thank you for signing up for Shady Strokes at Shady Oaks! This is the 7th year we have run this event, and personally – it is my favorite to run of the year. So glad you have joined us!

This email will serve as a quick rundown of the day, expectations & additional details to make the day a great one. Starting with CHECK IN! Come check in at Tournament Central (Near Hole 1 Tee this year) between 8AM-9AM. Ams will pick out their 2 players pack discs from Discraft at this time!

Parking in the main lot near the community center at 777 S Bartlett Rd does fill quickly. Overflow parking should park near Oakhill Elementary on Oltendorf Rd. This is near Holes 12-14 as well, so plan to move your car after checking in.

PDGA digital scoring will be used, and everyone is expected to keep score (paper cards available for those who do not want to use phone). ACCESS CODE will be: SHADY

Players meeting will take place at 9am. I will cover some important notes about the course for both rounds as there is no round 2 players meeting. I expect this to last about 5-10 minutes, to which you will then head to your starting hole (published on PDGA now!) for an approximate 9:20am tee off for Round 1.

There will be at least an hour break for lunch, and 2nd round tee time will be posted to PDGA as soon as it is available.

Every card during round 1 will pick a hole on the course & do a CARD CTP! Winner come see me after the round to claim your prize. If you paid into the CASH CTP on Discgolfscene, this has been split into 3 CTP’s during round 1 on Holes 2, 5 & 17.

If the ace pot is not hit, we will do a throw off after the round! All payouts for Pro players and Ace/CTP will be paid out via PayPal.
