UPDATE 09-20-19
Just in time for HALF PRICE practice rounds today, the brand new Whispering Pines course map, The Beast course map, Mini Disc Golf course map and the Shining Mountain Area Map are all available for download on the website. I'll have maps, distances and specifics printed Saturday morning.
Whispering Pines is all par 3's with a triple mando on 16, NO OB on hole 13. It's hard enough and there really isn't any distinction of road or not. Other than hole 13 here ... more

Sorry, guys. I have to drop out. Had a death in the family and the funeral is on Saturday.

I have not heard back from Shining Mountain about camping after many attempts. So at this point we're probably not camping on-site. However it is a gorgeous area and there are 3 National Forest Campgrounds within 5 miles north off Hywy 67, plus two more by Rampart Reservoir Southeast of Woodland Park. I recommend reserving spots at Painted Rocks, Colorado or South Meadows campgrounds within minutes and just north of Shining Mountain.

Here is a link to the US Forest Service website with local campground info

I was hoping to camp out somewhere near by too, onsite would be great. Please let me know.

Camping situation? Update?

Donna Brown    August 20, 2019 at 3:29pm

What is the word on camping?

Daniel Lewis    August 1, 2019 at 8:29pm

I too would like to camp out that weekend. Any word yet if we are going to be able to camp on site?

Jason Humphrey   September 5, 2019 at 4:35pm

This one is going to be fun, maybe we get on a card together.

Daniel Lewis   September 6, 2019 at 4:32pm

Yes and yes!

Donna Brown    June 21, 2019 at 9:56pm

What is the cost? Trying to decide to do this based on cost and travel expenses

Matt James   June 22, 2019 at 2:39am

Registration is now open Donna. $105 for pros and $95 for Ams and includes greens and cart fees plus one meal on Sunday.

Is camping included or available on site? Last year at states we were able to camp out by the wooded course.

Matt James   June 24, 2019 at 8:30pm

Unsure about camping at this point. I've barely talked with the Shadow Mountain folks and just got this secured a couple days ago. I will have more information about camping and lodging hopefully soon.

cool Matt. I think that would be a great thing for a Masters Tourney as we'd likely be a fairly mellow crowd and also an opportunity to build more community.
