Fellow Gauntlet Runners,
Thank you all for participating in the first Annual Run the Gauntlet. I plan on being set up for check in by 7:30. Tournament Central will be set up near the restrooms.
PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU CHECK IN WHEN YOU ARRIVE. If you have a change of plans, or are running late, please call/text me at 407-335-6404. I have several people on the waitlist that will be coming out in the morning. If you are not checked-in, or not communicated with me, I will fill those spots.
Round 1 will begin promptly at 9am. As I am playing in the event, I will be packing up Tournament Central along with players packs no later than 8:50.
PLEASE RE-CHECK YOUR TEE TIME AT 8:45. I do not ever want to make changes in the morning, but sometimes changes happen. Re-Check your tee time before you make your way out to your hole, please.
THE PDGA SCORING ACCESS CODE IS RUN
I will post the official start time for Round 2 on Disc Golf Scene as soon as I am certain.
Unfortunately, we will not have spotters on the course for this event, so it really is imperative that all players watch each other's shots to help with pace of play. When needed, consider sending a player slightly ahead to spot. Pace of play is the goal here.
All holes with OB will have notes in the PDGA Scoring App. That said, Hole 7 string line is broken so please play the white stakes. Hole 17 is the same. 10 and 18 do not have stringlines. Surrounded by water is OB. Hole 1 OB is defined by the insides of the fence posts. Most other OBs have clear fencelines to define them. 2m from Barbed Wire. When in doubt, PLAY PROVISIONAL.
OB off the Blue Tee from Hole 2, 10, and 18 play from the white tee pad Dropzone with a penalty stroke. Or the player can choose to simply retee with a penalty stroke.
Am Player packs are fundraising for the US Masters we are hosting in May. The pack will consist of one disc from the club store and a choice of a pretty wide range of gear from past LCDGC tournaments. Namely shirts and towels, although I do have a few hats, drawstring bags, and other items you may pick from. During lunch, I will have the club store back out and everything for sale. All helps to fund the US Masters so bring some extra cash. We have a pretty wide selection of Innova, Dynamic, Lat 64, and Westside.
Thank you all for signing up for this event. In 2019 I ran the Inaugural event on Palmetto Trails as the course was called then. It has always pained me that we had not given the Gauntlet a proper annual event. I am excited to have a fun day throwing frisbees out there with everyone. See you all tomorrow morning.
Be Bogey Free.
