Alternate shot is throughout the entire round. Before you tee off on your first hole on West you decide who throws first. From that point on it is alternate shot through the entire round. So, if you putt out your partner must tee off on the next hole.

The initial information posted was when the tournament was scheduled to play at Jamesville beach on 20 holes. With the extra 64 players added to the field when the venue was changed and in order to accommodate all the 44 Intermediate teams (88 players), the order of rounds for the Intermediate teams changed. The first 36 teams to register will all play round one on Clay West and will be playing Alternate shot. The last 8 teams to register, who were promoted off the waitlist, will be playing their first round on Clay East with the rest of the field. They will be playing best shot. Clarifying what I got out of this to make sure. The main point of confusion I think the the round split. Basically, it doesn't matter which round you play either course.... West's round is Alternate shot, and East's round is Best correct?
