Why should I pay $10 more to most likely lose my money?
Explain why all the 950 and under guys are playing MPO. They just look forward to giving their money away?
I don’t quite understand. I guess I may go ahead and move up but I may not based on principle. Why would I pay more to lose my money? I’m not a pro. I’m a 35yo amateur with ups and downs. If I play as well as I expect, I would definitely cash in that MPO field. But also definitely not get top 3.
10 guys should move down is what would actually make sense.

Seriously, what am I missing? Why are all these 950 and under players giving their money to the MPO guys?
Chris Claring Oct 12ratings are over rated...play where you feel your ability is and don't be pressured into moving up. And this coming from the guy who is trying to become an am again...lol

Well since we're giving serious answers. Why play in a division all by yourself at the skill level youre at. That includes the mp50 and 60. I've seen all play well above their skill. Pointless to play in a tournament against yourself unless its a flex where you dont know if someone else is gonna sign up. So yeah you're already paying more than we should be paying to play so what's $10 more?
Very fair thought and I’m certainly torn. Struggling to find the value/purpose.

I’m not sure because 10 others made a decision that I don’t agree with that I should also make that decision.
Let’s save those guys some money! Since they don’t care as much about their money, they could all come to MA1 and could just each give me $5. If they like to give their money away? (That’s a creative joke)
Regardless, looking forward to playing the farm tomorrow. Disc golf is largely a battle against oneself and the course anyway.
I really don’t like the idea of paying $10 more to most likely get nothing in return. I don’t play MPO so why would I tomorrow? Just because everyone else is? I don’t do things “because everyone else does”.

If my input is worth anything, 75% of the MPO field is 970 or lower being that "advanced" level. My two cents, in this case with playing in a division of your own, versus a field that would still replicate playing advanced. The players above that will certainly push you to improve your game, but still your decision if you want to play in a larger field thats going to push your skills, or to play in a division on your own
