PLAYERS NOTES
Welcome to the 2021 Raymond Seick Memorial! We would like to thank everyone who signed up for the tournament, all of our sponsors, and everyone who supported our fundraisers this year. The past year has been quite challenging and the club will be facing future challenges with the pending reconfiguration of Fort Steilacoom. As such, all tourneys scheduled at the Fort through July represent the last time to compete on the holes of the Southeast course and Ray’s Nine. We hope this weekend provides some awesome competition and that we do these courses proud. Here is an overview of the basics to help our event run smoothly.
Tee Assignments: All Tee assignments will be posted on Friday night (May 7) on the PDGA tournament link:
www.pdga.com/tour/event/49350
Check-in: Check-in will start at 7:30 am (Saturday, May 8) and end at 8:15 am. Please wear your mask while at Tournament Central. Arrive at your designated tee 10 minutes before 9:00 am teeoff. Please be in line for check-in prior to 8:00 am in order to secure your spot. All spots remaining open after check-in has ended will be allocated to the first person who is on the waitlist and present prior to the beginning of the tournament. If no waitlisters are present, open spots will go to anyone who wants to sign up.
Alternate Electronic Confirmation: Pros can opt to check-in electronically. Sometime on Friday, May 7th, please confirm your attendance. Message or Email me (Ted Couillard) on FB Messenger, [email redacted], or (206) 384-5277. A simple message like “Ray Seick Confirmed” with your name and player number will do. If you have checked in this way, just report to your hole by 8:50 am.
Players Packs: Am player packs (Custom hot-stamp Discraft disc and NADGT towel) will be available at check-in. NADGT-registered players will earn NADGT points for this event.
Water: Although we plan to have bottled water on site as a backup, you are encouraged to bring your own water. Minimizing unnecessary contact is the goal here. Hand sanitizer will be available at the portable restrooms.
Covid Courtesy: Please maintain social distance (6 ft) from other players throughout your round. Clear your disc from the basket before anyone else putts. No other persons (caddies, friends, etc.) should be with the card. We are all accustomed to the protocol by now. Do not attend the tournament if you have direct contact with someone with Covid-19, have fever or are otherwise sick. This is a sanctioned event. All other PDGA rules apply.
Course Guide: Course guides are attached in this email. Hole notes will also appear on the digital scorecard.
Scoring: We will officially keep score using the PDGA Digital Scorecard. Login to
https://www.pdga.com/apps/tournament/score/login Access Code Raymond. We will also provide a paper score card for backup (or another player can use an alternative like U-Disc). This would be simplest/safest if one player kept the electronic version, and another player kept the backup card. You can switch recorders during the round if players prefer. The backup is purely for you and your cardmates for checking purposes. WHATEVER SCORE IS SUBMITTED AFTER THE ROUND IS THE OFFICIAL SCORE (unless some flagrant rule violation is reported).
End of rounds: Each player will be responsible for checking their scores on both the digital and backup scorecard. Once all players are satisfied that the cards are correct, have the current digital scorekeeper press submit on the scoring app. It is our preference that all cash payouts will be by electronic transfer. We will accommodate players if need be.
Ace Pot: Current ace pot is at $213.00. If it is not hit during RSM tournament play, it will roll over to next year’s event.
Lunch/ 2nd Round/Ray Games/Awards: On Saturday, Round 2 will start approximately one (1) our after the last scorecard is submitted. Hole assignments will be on PDGA. Awards will be approximately 2 hours after the last card comes in on Sunday. The Ray Games will be played during that time. Please observe social distancing always.
