Greetings Players,
Welcome to the Players Meeting for Race for the Cup 2 at Waterloo. We are happy to have you at our tournament!
Please follow all guidelines set forth in the Covid Waiver that you signed at registration.
We will be using PDGA live scoring for this event. Card and back up can both be done on live scoring. The code is : RFTC2
Please note the following apply to Live Scoring:
All rules set forth in the Official Rules of Disc Golf Rule 808 Scoring are in full effect and must be followed without exception. Digital scoring is both official and authoritative.
If an incorrect score is submitted and requires correction after the player has confirmed and submitted it, a two-throw penalty will be assessed in accordance with rule 808 G.2.
Each player must review and positively confirm their scores at the end of the round before the total score is submitted.
The course is a bit muddy and water-logged right now, so please be cautious with your footing, especially on the hills. Despite the elements, Waterloo is ready to deliver some great rounds of disc golf. Because of the flooding a few of the holes will be altered.
Hole 3 will have added ob on the left. There will be a drop zone for discs that go ob.
Hole 6 will have an alternate tee pad.
Hole 10 will have ob on the right. There will be a drop zone for discs that go ob.
Hole 11 will have ob past the pin. There will be a drop zone for discs that go ob.
All other water on the course should be played as casual water.
Individual hole information will be loaded into the PDGA live scoring app. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THIS INFORMATION. There are laminated tee signs at each hole including the 2 temp holes, 19 and 20. They will be near Tournament Central in Shelter 4.
Please note, after playing hole 5, you will have to walk back up to the fairway to get to the temp tee pad for hole 6. Do not throw while people are clearing hole 5!
Drop Zones on hole 3, 10 and 11 are marked with flags that say “DROP ZONE”
For those that don’t know what casual water is, here is that:
A casual area is casual water, or any area specifically designated as a casual area by the Director before the round. Casual water is any body of water that is in-bounds and has not been explicitly declared by the Director to be in play.
To obtain relief from a casual area, the player's lie may be relocated to the nearest lie which is farther from the target and is on the line of play, at the nearest point that provides relief (unless greater casual relief is announced by the Director).
