About this tournament
One Round at Lions Club one Round at the Boonies. The Boonies is a private course south of Rolla. It's worth the long day to come out and see what our area has to offer.- ‹ Prev

Is it possible to get a practice round in at “The Boonies” before the tournament? Never been.

Divisions will be combined where it makes sense to keep things competitive.

What's the Boonies course like? Length? Par? Tees/Baskets, etc.
Longer than LC. Look for a Map to be posted soon. Tees are natural, Baskets are permanent DD recruits

It says “must be PDGA member to sign up.” Is this firm? I don’t know if I want to make that commitment yet but I am thinking about taking the tournament leap.
Unfortunately the PDGA requires membership to compete in a B-tier. They made that change this past January.

Is there a player's pack?

Lion's Club is a great course on its own, and while this tournament includes a lap around that 18, it also includes a rare opportunity to throw a really sweet private track on private property...don't sleep on this one, you can't just roll up and play here!
Phil, I believe you can sneak in a round Thur and/or Friday .... its been generally open Thur - Sun for the past month or so leading to the tournament. Not sure what the policy will be going forward.
And what about Saturday morning before the tournament starts?
Should be fine
We plan to go out and mess around Friday evening at the Boonies. I'll ask the land owner when he is comfortable with players coming out.
At this point we’re just wanting to stop Saturday morning around 7:30 to walk the course before heading to lions club
That's fine, I've tried to reply several times, but Matt is ok with people showing up as early as 7am.
