Hello players,
There will be a brief in person players meeting Sunday at 8:30am. If you are not signed in before 8:30am you may lose your spot. Most things are covered here.
For people coming to the course for the first time, don’t take directions to Prompton State Park instead go to Prompton Disc Golf Course. There is about 25 parking spots by holes 1-4, 10 parking spots by hole 11, the rest will need to park on the dirt road/parking area by holes 12-15.
For the unvaccinated; Masks that cover your mouth and nose are required when you sign in or any other time you are near the store, tournament central, and in your groups if you can’t socially distance.
Hand sanitizer is available for your use before you touch any merchandise in the store.
Sign in under the pavilion between tee of 12 and basket of 15. Sign in starts 7:30am. Be warned that the dirt road and dirt parking lot is not OB so avoid parking near basket of 15.
Amateur players pack is a tee shirt of choice. Please be patient with us as we get your selected item. No substitutions as most items are claimed by others.
Your starting hole for round one is listed at
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/53348 In the morning check again your starting hole to confirm nothing has change. Changes should be very unlikely and only if absolutely needed. A few minutes after the last card is finalized after round 1 we will shuffle the cards and publish where you start for round 2. The start time for round 2 will be in the comments section on Disc Golf Scene as well as on the Prompton Facebook page.
Most cards have 3 people; if it is time to start and you only have 1 or 2 people you cannot start; wait where you are for the next group and play with them keeping scores separate.
Each card must have two people keeping score. Open person must keep score via the PDGA website and another person any other way you want. We will not have paper score cards. We have set up layouts on the PDGA site. PDGA.comscores code Prompton
For OB rulings, group decision is needed. If you can’t decide, give the benefit to the player; when in doubt play a provisional. Player must declare loudly they are playing a provisional.
No two-meter rule; no special island rules. Everything is standard PDGA rules.
Bring plenty of water; and this may be a good time for this year to wear sunscreen & bug spray.
The B.S. Bochantin Upshot store will be open during the entire event. We accept Venmo, Paypal, Cash and your unwanted discs.
For those swapping their unwanted plastic, give us your discs before the first round. We will value them as you play, and you can spend that value after you finish. We are not accepting any swaps after you finish. DX are $1 value currently.
We will be paying out approximately the top 40% of the division. Please stay for your winnings.
For any first-place tie breaker playoffs, start hole 12 to the RED basket and continue all RED till a winner is clear.
We will be holding a silent auction for some valuable discs (Tilt) that will start between rounds and winners will be announced at the ending awards.
We have currently collected $165 for the ace pot. If you did not pay online, you can pay the $5 as you sign in. We have a few side games as well. Only people who have paid the $5 ace pot/ side game qualify.
Hole 13: The person who makes the longest putt on your card
Hole 6: The person who gets closest to the basket on their first shot on your card
First person on your card to throw an intentional roller after the 6th hole you play.
Any shot that lands on top of basket.
Any shot that lands on any tee pad.
Any first shot that hits metal (almost ace)
Any shot that is in the lake yet still in bounds.
Once you leave for the day you forfeit any side game prizes not claimed. Side game prizes will be distributed after round two and before standard awards, when you finish your second round come tell us how many of the games you got and we will tell you the prize.
