I wanted to go over some things for the event as well as some COVID-19 policies.

On Saturday morning, there will be an optional Question & Answers session at 8am followed by our salute to the troops. If you choose to not attend, tee off will be at 8:30am, you may just report to your starting hole. This will be down by the practice basket near Hole 1.

I would like to thank you to all the players that registered so early for the event. It made it much easier to the planning of this event. I could not be running this event without the support and assistance of Disc Baron. They will be providing all the online payouts for this event as well as they have donated a Züca Cart that will be raffled off.

For each $5 donation, you will receive a raffle number. If you have donated as part of your online registration, you will already have a number assigned to you. It is possible to buy multiple numbers. All donations will be going to the Semper Fi fund.

There is no checking in the morning for the event. The PDGA has released some new software which I will be utilizing. You will be able to access great amount of online informaton at: www.pdga.com/score Password: Stars. (THIS WILL
NOT BE ACTIVE UNTIL 8PM FRIDAY NIGHT)

will list your starting hole and the tee time for the event. (NOT ACTIVE UNTIL 8PM FRIDAY NIGHT). All you need to do is report to your starting hole before we tee off. It also allows for PDGA live scoring within your group. I will be using this for the second round as well. Your starting hole and the tee time will be posted via the website. If your group chooses to not do online scoring, I will have paper scorecards available. However, for each group that does use it, each member of the group will be entered to win a $30 Disc Baron Coupon Code.

PDGA Live Scoring gives these benefits: It ALWAYS adds your score correctly! It allows you to see how your division of play is playing. It lists the distance and all of OB for each hole (if any). Lastly, you do no need to walk to HQ to turn you card in, once everyone reviews their score, you submit your score to HQ. All you need is an internet signal on a phone before the round and when submitting your score. There can be only 1 online scorer for the group but anyone else can follow along at https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/47681 Just click Live Hole by Hole.

There is a 50/50 CTP and an Ace Pool Tie Breaker CTP. These are only for people that paid into the 50/50 and the Ace Pool. If there are no aces, that CTP will be the tie breaker, so everyone will have had 2 chances at it. Both of these items will be paid out via PayPal shortly after the event. These items were available during your online registration. If you forget and still want to get in, we will have a drop box available for you at HQ for those HOWEVER YOU MUST BRING a $5 bill for each (no change will be made) or we can accept PayPal payments on site. All aces split evenly.

All Amateur payouts for this event will be done through Disc Baron's online score. If you are in a cashing spot,early next week (Disc Baron is on vacation) you will be emailed a code and the amount of your winnings. All you have to do is search Disc Baron's online store and pick out what you want. He will have it shipped out to you in a fast manner. Disc Baron has a great online store with each disc weighed and photographed, the disc you pick out, is the disc you get.

Pro Payouts will be done via PayPal, please see me for the addresses to send the money if you have cashed.

Since the field is capped at 72, there will be no problems having a caddy or a spectator. We will be able to stay under the required 100 people.

The bathrooms near the pavilion should be open as they were not scheduled to be closed until after next weekend.

Thanks to everyone that came out to play today in the BEAUTIFUL weather.

I do have to say that my most favorite part of this event is typically having the roll call for wash branch of military and letting them sound off. With the situation we are in, that part of the event was not possible. I want you all to know that I highly value the service that you provided to this great nation. Thank you for providing us with the lifestyles that we all lead due to your dedication. It is now year 5-6 and I am still waiting for someone from the Coast Guard...

This is my last sanctioned event that I am running in this shortened year. It has been as odd year for me as the State Coordinator but I think as a whole we have not been too highly affected. Events are still taking place albeit in an altered format. Thanks for coming out to this last event. I hope you all have a safe and happy rest of the season.
