For anyone who needs to travel to the tournament tomorrow - ADOT just released this for closures this weekend:


• Westbound I-10 closed between US 60 and 40th Street from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday (Nov. 20). Westbound US 60 on-ramps at McClintock Drive, Rural Road and Mill Avenue also closed. More information on the map.
• Southbound SR 143 (Hohokam Expressway) closed between Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) and I-10 near Sky Harbor Airport from 10 p.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 18).
• All US 60 east- and westbound on- and off-ramps at Mesa, Country Club and Stapley drives closed from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 11:30 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 19) for cross street pavement improvements. Consider exiting or entering the freeway via Alma School Road or Gilbert Road. Click the Weekend Travel Advisory Map for more information.

1.06 Grouping and Sectioning, B. 2.? I would more than likely stick around and watch if I knew the best of the best were grouped together. It may bring others out or folks that couldn't get in the tourney to watch and enjoy the competition, "AB's Army". Some signage is posted in and outside of Sweetwater/ Cave Creek Park as of today. Remember, disc sports clinic will be on the south end of the park (entry to Cave Creek park off of Cactus) at 12PM-1PM. Rumor is that one food truck will be parked there at the clinic, and afterwards, up at Sweetwater after 1PM. Cox-Meadow Neighborhood Group (east side of park) and Shaw Butte Neighborhood Alliance (west side of park), requests that players remember to honor right-of-way to those park pedestrians. Parks Dept. are aware there have been recent complaints of casual disc golfers not being respectful to the neighbors as they walk in the park. Please be aware that this park will be monitored for this behavior, and we could jeopardize its' course if more complaints occur. Honor the pedestrians...full stop.

We have confirmed the Disc Sports Clinic on the southern side of Cave Creek Park/Sweetwater DG course at 12pm. Food truck will be there from 12-1PM. Come down if you finish your round and help out or just come down and encourage the participants (hopefully neighborhood kids and families), will have demos, and a putt-off to win discs!!

Okay everyone...just wanted to give another update on the neighborhood support of this event along with the way both can be successful. Our day of disc in the park for the neighborhood will occur at noon at the ball field on the Cactus Rd. entrance of Cave Creek park/Sweetwater DG course. So that people can watch the competition and learn a bit about the game and disc sports games in general, we're doing a demo for 12-1PM with give-aways (donated discs) for familes and kids in the neighborhood (and Shaw Butte Elem. nearby). We have an "in" with the school, so that we can likely draw the youth to attend and watch the competition too. Just wanted to give an update, as I'm back and forth with various people to make this even come to fruition.

Hey all, will be putting on a disc sports clinic that same day (lunch break) on the opposite side of the park. Shaw Butte Neighborhood Alliance will be hosting (Larkspur and 23rd Ave in front of playground and nearby holes). Need a few volunteers for the demonstrations of disc sports like disc golf and others. Can we get a few people to commit to the neighborhood introduction of disc golf?
