Hey Gang,
Solstice Scrambles is just a couple days away!!! Hard to believe it finally here. Last year we had 7 teams signed up at this point, ended up with 15. This year we have 22 teams and have been sold out for a week.

Weather looks OK (meaning no snow) but will be chillier than it has been. Looks like mid 30's for a high.

Last email I forgot directions. Seems like many of you have been to Otter Brook before, but for those who have not, read this!

There are going to be a few folks selling their disc golf related stuff. Brian Hagan will have some custom discs, Bobby Harris is bringing some really cool etched glass stuff down from Maine. Otter Brook will have shirts and stickers to sell. If you have disc golf related stuff, feel free to bring it down to show folks. Christmas is next week so...chance to get your favorite disc golfer some cool stuff.

Also reminder about disc swap. Its only fun if you bring stuff to sell /swap. I have some discs I will have to straight up swap for whatever ( I like MVP) and some newer less used discs that I want to get a couple bucks for.

Other important Points

NO FACILITIES. Its woods or nothing.
You will not have time to run into town at lunch.
Lunch will be served on the course (not in the parking lot). If you don't like pulled pork chili...well bring PB&J. We will also have corn bread, famous Sullivan Store Cookies and waters.
If you want stuff at lunch (chair, cooler etc) walk it in when we start.
Ace Pot is 120$
Every players pack will have some raffle tickets, but you can buy more. Top prize is worth 150$ and we have a bunch of stuff to give away, including but not limited too custom dyed discs and coffee cups.
Im hearing some talk about mimosas and Bloody Marys. Not a fan of bloody Mary's, but if someone makes one I like...you get a prize.
We have added a bonus hole. Hyzers Hole (Hyzer the Otter is our Mascot) more details on that at player meeting.
We have a finite amount of parking at top lot. Don't park like a douche.
Seriously....Carry in Carry out. We love putting on these events, but cleaning up trash afterwards SUCKS.

Lastly, THANKS! Really I mean it. Thanks for taking the time during this holiday season to come out and play Otter Brook. I know many of you are driving 2+ hours and we appreciate it! Its great to see folks signed up from MA, VT, and ME (anyone from CT?). Although I think the Maine boys think this is high stakes dubz and are going to be pissed when there is no money to get home....

Oh and double lastly, Looks like there is going to be a little "après disc" get together at Joe Peanuts in town. Will provide more details on that day off. They have areas best wings ( I know Kevin you don't like them) and beer. If ace pot is not hit I will have 120$ burning a hole in my pocket. Not saying for sure, but if enough folks are going...

Congratulations! You have had the the foresight to register early and get one of the coveted slots in Otter Brooks 2015 Solstice Scramble! Cant wait to see you on the 19th.

Forecast looks fine. And by that I mean it does not appear we are looking at any snow impacting travel. Chance of rain, but we can make do with that. As long as you can get here, we will play!

So the day looks as follows.

8:00- 9:00 Reg, hang out, tailgate, Bloody Mary's, Disc swap! Bring your old discs you dont use anymore and sell/swap. I will have 20-30 discs I will swap for whatever you want to give me! And some newer stuff to sell for a couple bucks.
Due to some ACoE restrictions, we will be parking at the top lot, but will have transportation for first round down to lower holes.
9:00-9:30 will be quick player meeting and tee off at 9:30 if not earlier.
11:30 Lunch, and some raffles.
1:00 Second round Tee off
3:00 More raffles, ring of fire and award presentations.

Ok.
We have parking but not an infinite amount. Please park smart!
Player packs will be given out at reg so you can leave in your car.
LUNCH- We will be bringing in lunch and that will be staged at the picnic area at 3-7-8. You wont have time to run to your car. Ok maybe if you are first card in, but you get the idea. You can leave "essentials" at 3-7-8 on your way to your hole, or drop off as you play through. YOU WILL NOT HAVE TIME TO RUN INTO TOWN. If you dont like Chili, bring a PB&J.
There are NO facilities. If you got to go...it will be in the woods. In that event, consider your personal paper needs.
This tourney is FOR FUN! 100% of your reg fee goes into the tourney for food, prizes and well..stuff.
We will have waters at 3-7-8
Carry in Carry out!!!
Let the TD score. He will tell you who is in the lead when he is godamn ready! Seriously we reserve the right to assess a 1 stroke penalty if you bug the shit out of the scorer.
No exotic animals on the course.
