Event is now finalized with the PDGA & the players being paid out for the Cash CTP's are Derek Bricker (Saturday) $254 & Steven Gandee (Sunday) $254 / the Ace Pool research found 2 aces so the actual ace supersedes the ace pool CTP that we do just in case no one hits an ace / the 2 aces were hit by Jack Diprono Hole 8 on day 1 (unfortunately not in the ace pool) & the other ace was hit by Paul Rose Hole 4 on day 2 (Yes yes yes Paul was in the ace pool) and won $296 (148 ace pool entries x $2 per entry) / congrats to those 3 cash winners and to all the various division winners on your game well played. Again thanks to all the local staff that helped and to Bill Vaughn who organized that staff. We hope to have the few final tee pads addressed for 2024 and to work around the back ups with the lower divisions playing a few shorter tee pads or playing to a shorter basket on the couple holes that have a tendency to back up. Also we will be changing the tee off order to give the MA1 players a chance to play the course earlier in the day before back ups take place. FA3 women tee off was at 7 am and their 27 hole round was done by 10:30 am. This event has grown each year over the last 3 years and we will continue to try to strive to take your constructive feedback and improve. FYI next years cap will be at 224 players which will knock off 40 minutes in tee times to give us a bigger cushion in case of weather delays and if the changes to the layout for a few shorter holes for the lower divisions and the switching of tee times drastically decreases round time we can consider raising the # players back to 250 in the future. / I complete this post in the same manner I have completed most my summary post over the years and I really cannot repeat this enough but I have to thank my better half Sissy who allows me to chase my passion and who's help and dedication to a sport she can no longer play due to shoulder issues is one great gesture of selflessness and love that I appreciate beyond words, Safe travels to all and good luck to all of you who will be competing at Am World's or Am Master World's over the next couple weeks. In response to a post that was put on this site and since deleted the math for your payouts is listed at everyone of our events just as it has been for almost 2 decades now. The cost of 3 premium star plastic Innova disc, a performance material collared tourney shirt, a weighted mini, a towel had a retail value of $90 ($60 for 3 disc, $25 for collared shirt, $3 for the weighted mini driver & $2 for the microfiber towel) / the math was all there pre, during, and post event for it was posted on site at the event and on disc golf scene. On top of that cost we provided all volunteers 8 or 9 people with a $60 shopping spree = $540 / on top of that we spent over $380 & provided players with snacks of bananas, tangerines, rice krispie treats, crackers & iced the 5 water stations on the course. On top of that $100 goes to the PDGA for sanctioning & $4 per person for an A-tier (about a $1000 for almost 250 players) / the 2 Cash CTP's are being paid out to Derek Bricker for Saturday & Steven Gandee for Sunday, the Ace Pool is either being paid out to a party who had an ace during the event or the Ace CTP (that is still being determined for wer need to check for all aces and if those players were in the ace pool & if not that winner would default to the Ace Pool CTP (Dominic Testa) // then on top of all this we added (completely sponsored by MOB) $22 per person for payouts to the top 1/3 of each division. The Friday's $30 C-tier the day before this event payouts were larger than this event per person for each person did not get a $90 player pack and all the entry fee went to payouts. This $90 A-tier is one of the lowest entry fee A-tiers for I play Las Vegas, Memorial, & DDO and all those events are 3 times the entry fee and it is player pack only with no payouts. We want to make sure everyone feels satisfied so everyone gets a player pack equal to their entry fee but at the same time unlike some other events we want players to be playing for something so we added the additional $22 per person on top of the 19 trophies ($350) handed out so players feel like they are playing for something. There is the math of the event & any $$ MOB makes is the difference between retail and wholesale of the disc value and the majority of those $$ are given right back in purchasing the snacks, ice, trophies, volunteer swag, paying all the PDGA fees and donating a $450 basket to the course. I do not understand why some feel that that huge player pack that was handed out is free for every single one of those 6 items are purchased but as you can see per the above content we account for all those $$ and you could have seen all of this which was posted at registration central. // In regards to the donation to Alzheimer's Association I find it offensive anyone questioning those $$ going to this wonderful organization for my mother has resided with us part time for almost a decade now and suffers from later stages of the disease and this cause is close to our hearts. / Sorry for this lengthy comment but we have been running events for almost 2 decades and everything we do has always been transparent and much of what we do has been copied by other TD's which i find as a compliment. Please note that we will be raffling off a brand new all metal ChanStar Lite basket ($175 value) for $2 a ticket, 6 tickets for $10, or 13 tickets for $20 // The basket is being donated fully by MOB Disc Golf and every single $$ collected is going to the Alzheimer's Association to help fight Alzheimer's a disease that has become so prevalent with our extended life spans. Please bring some extra $$ with you to the event Saturday at check in to buy some tickets and to contribute to this very worthy cause and have a chance to win a new metal ChainStar Lite basket. Besides MOB Disc Golf donating the basket for the raffle we are also matching $1 for every $2 collected for the raffle. So if 250 players each just buy 1 ticket ($2) we would have $500 collected for Alzheimer's and MOB would donate an additional $250 (on top of the basket donated) for a total of $750 to go towards this worthy cause and that would only be with a $2 raffle ticket per person being purchased. If we get players buying multiple raffle tickets the skies the limit. A little from everyone helps a very worthy cause that I am sure will affect someone we know someday. Next year, could we possibly see the return of 3 rounds? Maybe cut to 18 holes a round & play perhaps a couple different layouts of the 27 holes? (Ex. Two rounds include A-F, one round not, or vice versa?) excited to hopefully see a couple changes to hole E too!
