Hello everyone, Emails have been sent out. I also put the info below in case someone doesn't get the email.
Thank you for signing up for the OB Open! Tomorrow we will be playing two rounds of all long tees at the coveted Faylor Lake Disc Golf Course.
Parking for tournament staff and volunteers will be off the 235, here is a dropped pin on Google Maps
https://goo.gl/maps/q7masFDFu8nDYPor6
Parking for players will be in the normal parking lot for Faylor Lake Disc Golf Park
https://goo.gl/maps/nYtghGCuBfpxj1JG8
There is very limited parking space so please carpool as much as possible and for the first people there, start the parking at the far end of the parking lot and park as tight as possible to accommodate as many cars as we can. Please respect anyone visiting the lake to fish.
Check in will be from 7:30-8:30 a.m. Round one will start at 8:45 a.m. there will be a horn signal at 8:43 for two minutes and again at 8:45 for start.
Rides will be provided for people starting on holes 8-16. To get a ride, you will have to be at tournament central 15 minutes before the tee time.
PDGA live scoring will be available (code: obopen). We would ask that two people on each card do live scoring, but paper score cards will be available for a backup if needed. There will be one caddy guide per card with hole layouts and ob’s. If you are top of your card, please take the caddie guide from the scoreport for your card.
We will only have 45 minutes between rounds, so verify and submit your scores as quickly as possible. There will be meals available to those who requested one. They are $10 and payable in cash at the event. Exact change appreciated. There will be some extra meals at $10 each, but not enough for everyone. There are not many places close to eat, and there is limited time between rounds, so be sure to pack a lunch if you did not sign up for a meal.
Since time will be limited and rounds will be long, we request each card to follow the 3 minute lost disc timer rule. If a disc is lost, the entire card engages in a search for it and someone starts a 3 minute timer immediately. If the timer goes off before the disc is found, the player must take a stroke penalty and resume play from his/her last known in-bounds position, or his previous lie.
After the event, we will hand out the trophies to the winners and give out vouchers to DBL Helix for AM payouts. You can use your voucher on site at the flymart or turn in for a gift card you can use later for online purchases. Pro payouts will be done via PayPal.
I’m excited to see you all there tomorrow, Jerek.
