O9 Match Play Challenge

The Punderson O9 Match Play Challenge!

Limited to 16 players, this will be a fun event that will be featuring the Original 9 holes at Punderson (this is 1-3, 9-14 Red to Shorts).

We will start the day playing stroke play for the O9. The stroke play finish will establish the seeding for the day. Ties will be broken by matching score cards.
1. Gross score for holes 9-14 (6)
2. Gross score for holes 12-14 (3)
3. Matching scores hole by hole backwards from 14 until a winner has been established.
4. If the players have identical matching scores on every hole, we'll flip a disc.

The seeding will establish two 8 person brackets that we will then play single elimination Match Play on the O9 to establish First through Forth Place.

Entry fee will be $25, $10 will go to the Friends of Punderson 501(c)(3) organization, and $15 toward payouts.

In each 8 person bracket, payouts will be as follows:
1st - $60 (50%)
2nd - $36 (30%)
3rd - $24 (20%)
4th - Disc

This will be the first of hopefully a few of these events this year at Punderson. As such, it is somewhat of a test event to see how many people we can comfortably handle.

If you are in top 4 of either bracket, you can end up playing 36 holes this day counting the stroke play seeding round. This can be more or less depending on how the matches play out. Could be over in 5 holes, or go on and on with a tie, I had a match at Portage last fall that went 17 holes on a 9 hole match.
