NORTH LANDING DISC GOLF MEMBERSHIP
Thank you for your interest in North Landing Disc Golf. The course has been built and funded by the efforts of members of the NLDG community. We pride ourselves on maintaining a fun, challenging, and clean course. As a NLDG member, you have access to the course and the parking lot. Pool, tennis, and fishing privileges are separate levels of membership. There are only a few rules for disc golf members:
1. Littering will not be tolerated. Either pack it in, pack it out, or use the trash cans provided around the course.
2. Damaging or vandalizing the course or other HOA property is strictly forbidden. This includes all signs, bridges, baskets, buildings, etc. No signing baskets or benches. Sign your Ace discs, not the baskets.
3. Disc golf members may bring one non-member guest to play when they come to play. They may also bring their minor children and/or non-playing spouse/partner. We ask that all regular players join as members. Members are responsible for the actions of their guests.
4. If you throw a disc into a homeowner’s yard, do not go onto their property. Notify the HOA or the Disc Golf Committee member, and an association official will make an effort to get your disc.
5. Be cool to your fellow disc golfers, surrounding homeowners, and other people using the grounds. This includes music, smoking, yelling, etc. It’s not hard. This includes letting faster players play through. Keep your cool. A bad day on the course could be worse off it. Give folks the respect you would want to get.
6. Try and return lost/found discs to their owner. It’s good karma. Write your name and number on your discs so they can be returned to you if lost. We have the lost disc box you can use if you want. Shoot the disc owner a text, tell them it’s in the box, or make arrangements to get it back to them yourself.
7. Keep your badge on display at all times on yourself or your bag while on the property. You may be asked if you are a member. Misuse of badges is covered under HOA rules and regulations below.
8. PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK. North Landing HOA and North Landing Disc Golf Club are not responsible for injuries incurred while playing on the course.
9. Stay out of the lake. If you have to do more that take a few steps in to retrieve your disc, leave it. We have people that get in the lake fairly regularly to retrieve discs.
Failure to follow these rules can lead to your membership being suspended and/or possibly get you banned from the course.
In joining NLDG, you’ve become a Disc Golf level member of the North Landing HOA. All the general HOA rules must be adhered to as follows:
NLHOA MEMBERSHIP RULES & REGULATIONS
The rules and regulations noted below are designed to protect the rights of all members to the equitable use of all the amenities. All guests must abide by the same rules as members. All members of NLHOA have the rights and responsibility to enforce the association rules. The Board will support any member that takes reasonable action to maintain order, insure the safety of others or to protect property from damage.
1. All members of the association and their children age 16 and older are required to display the Member ID Badge while on association property. Only the badge is needed for all members of the family on the property at the same time. The only exception is while attending a private function at the clubhouse.
2. Any person without badges, unless they are guests in accordance with the rules, will be asked to leave the premises. This includes members who have forgotten to wear their badges. Enforcement of these rules is the responsibility of all members and not just the Board. If a NLHOA adult member requests a person to leave the premises and that person refuses to do so, the NLHOA adult member should immediately call the Cobb County Police, and then immediately notify a Board member of the action taken.
3. All rules and regulations specifying an adult refers to someone at least 21 years of age. Members 18 to 20 years of age will be referred to as "young adults."
4. If a Badge is lost or stolen, notify a Board member and a replacement will be issued upon receipt of a $5 fee. Members who attempt to use this as a means of providing Badges to non-members will lose their membership for one year and be required to pay a reinstatement fee of $150 at the time of reinstatement. Dues for the lost times are not refundable. The rule will apply to the membership regardless of the age of the offender.
5. Any non-member found wearing a Badge would have the Badge confiscated and be required to leave the premises. They (non-member) may not return for any reason without the approval of the majority of the Board of Directors.
6. No loitering is allowed on NLHOA property including, but not limited to, the parking lot.
7. No firearms of any kind are allowed on NLHOA property.
8. ATV's, motorcycles and other off road motorized vehicles are prohibited from non-paved surfaces.
9. All NLHOA property and amenities are CLOSED daily between the hours of 11pm and 6am, except for the clubhouse rentals or NLHOA sponsored events.
10.The association shall not be responsible for loss or damage to personal property.
11.Association property damage will be charged to the member or guest responsible.
12.Pets are not allowed in the pool, pool area, clubhouse or on the tennis courts.
13.Reservations for the clubhouse are made separately.
14.The last members leaving the pool or the grounds at night should lock the gates.
15.Replacement of a lost key requires a $20 fee for any NLHOA key.
16.The land surrounding the edge of the lake is NLHOA property. Any trimming, cutting or pruning of shrubs must be pre-approved in writing by the Board. These same rules apply to any greenbelt or other association property.
In the event that the above conditions are not adhered to, the Board may terminate the use of the member’s amenities and no refund of dues shall be allowed.
