Presenting the Lawrence J. Altstadt Memorial!
The Niehaus Park Open has been renamed in honor of my father, Larry Altstadt. To put it simply, Larry made Niehaus Park disc golf course happen. As the Park Director, he organized multiple groups to raise financing, design, and build the disc golf course into what it is today. In honor of my late father, the City of Huntingburg, Park’s Board and Dept., and Southridge Cheerleader Alumni donated a memorial to be built. We’re hopeful the memorial will be ready in time to commemorate before the tournament.
This year’s tournament is a PDGA Sanctioned C-Tier tournament.
There will be cash added to the pro and am purses. That amount is currently unknown.
This is a preregistration event only. Preregistration will close at 8pm on May 17th and we will not accept walk-ups.
72 max players; 4 players per card.
All info on the course with OB will be emailed to the players and posted online prior to the event.
Amateur players pack: LJAM Shirt, LJAM Disc, beef jerky, and TBA
Player fees: $3 PDGA fee, $5 course fees.
Amateur divisions: $30 to cover players packs, remainder to payouts.
Paying out top 40% Pro field, top 45% AM field. Pro payouts will be made via PayPal within two days of tournament completion. Am payouts will follow as the tournament is completed.
