Where is the awards ceremony Sunday?

Hollows North

Michael Sullivan   May 22, 2022 at 3:42pm

Hi Bill. Is this where all the games are this afternoon as well?

Andrew Montgomery    May 20, 2022 at 10:59pm

With regards to hydration on the South Course Saturday, am I allowed to drink the water on hole 2 when I go OB off the tee? Or is that 2 strokes?

Marc Davis   May 21, 2022 at 12:28am

I think that's how you get malaria

Andrew Montgomery   May 21, 2022 at 2:19am

Well that sounds…ma-lar-ious!

Chris Fehl    May 19, 2022 at 3:47pm

I’m unfamiliar with the Hollows South parking situation. Is there a parking lot? Is there a practice basket for putting warmup? Is there a field or net for driving warmup? Thanks!

Derek Chambers   May 19, 2022 at 4:17pm

Smaller parking lot yes, can get quite muddy if raining. Yes practice basket, yes net for driving.

Connor J Moody    May 18, 2022 at 6:53pm

So are the layouts just short to long for south and birch ? Is North it’s own layout ? And or one basket location ? Thank you in advanced will be checking courses out tom

Marc Davis   May 18, 2022 at 7:30pm

When I played North last week all the baskets were in the long position except for 17 which is sort of short left (I assume because the area near the long position is kind of swampy)

BILL BRUCE   May 19, 2022 at 1:48am

All courses are short to long -

Is the basket on North 17 going to be in that short position it was in last week?

BILL BRUCE   May 18, 2022 at 10:35am

Yes - it is

Michael Ronan    May 17, 2022 at 10:36pm

Are all three courses cart friendly?

Marc Davis   May 17, 2022 at 11:06pm

I'd say they're all doable. Hollows South has some inclines and a couple of split-log bridges but it's not too bad, I think.

Dan Rabinowitz   May 18, 2022 at 2:32am

I carted all three last year. Like Marc said, a couple of hairy spots on Hollows South, but otherwise doable.

Michael Ronan   May 18, 2022 at 10:06am

Thanks Gentlemen!

Jamison Simanson    May 17, 2022 at 7:37pm

Do we know which course MA2 will play Saturday and Sunday yet?
I see we're at North Friday

Seth Umel   May 18, 2022 at 10:30pm

If it's the same as last year it will go North-Birch-South. I haven't seen that posted this year so it may not follow the same schedule.

Jamison Simanson   May 19, 2022 at 1:12am

Thanks Seth

Agreed.

Played a practice round at Birch Park this morning. Wanted to be sure we practiced the same tee pad on #3 that'll be used in the tournament - we played (what we thought was) the short tee, rather than the longer tee with pavers that is back maybe 50 ft and a bit more in the woods. Is that short tee the one that's being used in the tournament?

BILL BRUCE   May 16, 2022 at 8:47pm

we are using the tee with the pavers (not the short gravel one)

Mike Lawler   May 16, 2022 at 8:49pm

Thanks for the quick response, and glad I asked! Looks like I have an excuse for one more practice round.

James Ogles    May 16, 2022 at 2:45am

Will Birch League be playing this Thursday?

BILL BRUCE   May 16, 2022 at 1:04pm

yes - Am's - short to long and Pro - long to long

Tom Boyd   May 16, 2022 at 6:43pm

What time does league start?mmIn case I get up there in the afternoon I want to know when I I need to start in order to be ahead of league..

Dave Irving    May 16, 2022 at 12:36am

Hi Bill - I had planned on bringing my son along to caddie on day 1; he had hoped to enter but his schedule didn't work out. However, he's 11, and I discovered the minimum age is 13. So is he out of luck to caddie one day?

BILL BRUCE   May 16, 2022 at 1:03pm

This is Correct - he is under the age limit to caddie

Walter Bouchard    May 15, 2022 at 7:28pm

What time is the players meeting on Thursday evening? I'm coming from work in CT and trying to plan things appropriately.

BILL BRUCE   May 15, 2022 at 7:43pm

7:00pm.

Walter Bouchard   May 16, 2022 at 1:27am

Thank you!

James Ogles    May 12, 2022 at 4:57pm

What day is the mandatory player meeting?

BILL BRUCE   May 12, 2022 at 6:13pm

Thursday night Jim - see you then

Andrew Montgomery   May 12, 2022 at 8:17pm

Jimmy Ogles puts the MAN in “mandatory”

Shane leadbetter    May 12, 2022 at 2:37pm

When will tee times be posted

Chris Fehl   May 12, 2022 at 3:07pm

The earliest will likely be tomorrow (Friday), one week before the tournament, according to Bill’s earlier message. I understand the anxiety: I’ve got a tricky Friday with good tee times and problematic tee times.

BILL BRUCE   May 12, 2022 at 6:12pm

Friday afternoon the tee times will be posted - watch for the email on Friday- do you need help with anything - please send us an email if so - thanks -

Andrew Montgomery   May 12, 2022 at 8:16pm

What if you don’t drink tee?

Mike Lawler    May 5, 2022 at 6:59pm

Saw in one of the comments below that there's a document that talks about the OB rules for the 3 courses. Was wondering about both the fence and the path on holes 1-4 playing Birch Park this morning. Would it be possible to get a copy of that document - my e-mail is [email redacted]

Marc Davis   May 6, 2022 at 9:39pm

I believe last year the fence was OB but nothing on the road. But it could change for this year so I'd just wait for the official notes to be sure.

Bryant Chamberlin   May 9, 2022 at 6:33pm

The Fence is not OB. the pond on hole 1 is OB. Besides that no OBs until the Back 9. (99% sure that is accurate.)

Darren Emery    May 4, 2022 at 12:44am

I registered in a moment of giddiness thinking I would be able to finagle a day off from work on that Friday, but that is not happening. I submitted a withdrawal request, but my question is this: Could I be useful as a volunteer in some manner on Saturday and Sunday? It seems like a great event and I would like to be part of it somehow.

David Galvin    April 28, 2022 at 1:03pm

Hi Bruce and Norma,

I'm curious if the schedule has been laid out yet for where each division will play each day? I'm coming from out of town and starting to look into hotel options.
