About this tournament
The NOVA monthly on May 16, 2021 signals a return to SHOTGUN STARTS!! Prepare for cries of "Two Minutes" echoing across the entire park as we take on the Howling Gale layout at Giles Run! There will be two shotgun starts, one at 9:00 am and one at 2:00 pm. Check-in will start at 8:00 am and 1:00 pm and will be on Central Green, near the pavilions and holes 13/14. Players will register for one of the two available start times, both of which cap at 72 players.
Payouts will be based on the total number of players in each division, regardless of start time. Tags will be exchanged at the end of each round, so there will be up to 72 tags in play instead of the 4 tags on each card we've done earlier this year.
Recommended Divisions:
GOLD: MA1/MPO players (935+)
SILVER: MA2 players (900-934)
BRONZE: Everyone else
EMERALD: Women-Only Division (Women may also choose to play in any other division they qualify for)
PLATINUM: 60+ only
It's mid-May, and we expect the park will be crowded, please be respectful of other park patrons, and casual disc golf players who are not participating in the monthly.
REMINDER: The club will continue to follow CDC recommendations regarding COVID. Please wear a mask when checking in, and at any time during which you are not able to maintain 3' of space between yourself and other players.
