On U disc it says this is cancelled, is that right?

The event is not cancelled. The PDGA had it listed as sanctioned and when I contacted them about unsanctioning it, they changed it to “cancelled” on their site. The event is still happening this weekend, just unsanctioned as mentioned on the signup page and the event flyer

Ok great to hear, thanks for clearing that up!

Any chance of an open division waitlist for this event?

No formal wait list, but I have an informal one that I’m maintaining. I can add you to it if you want as the #2 guy waiting.

For now, we’re still planning on holding the event. We will have a bunch of changes in places like no food stations, no passing of a scorecard, etc. I’m still working on the details with the local government.

when will registration open?

It'll open soon. In talking with the provincial coordinator and the NADGT coordinator, we've come to an agreement to move the date of the event so as not to coincide with BC Provincials. The new date will be July 25 in Elkford - just a short drive from Fernie. If you're coming from southern Alberta, it's just as far to Elkford as it is to Fernie.

I am State side, how is it up there as far as this tournament going on as planned?

Kevin King   June 19, 2020 at 10:01pm

Registration is open and the event is moving forward for July 25, Nicholaus. Unsanctioned, though.
