Quick meeting and players proceed to their assigned starting holes.
8:30am - 11:30am
Round 1. Shotgun style start. 18 holes on the front 9A positions and the middle 9 holes.
11:30am - 1:00pm
Lunch break. Players can pick up their lunch from the grill when they finish their round.
1:30pm - 4:30pm
Round 2. Shotgun style start. 18 holes in the front 9 B positions and the back 9 holes.
4:30pm - 5:30pm
Awards ceremony for division winners and ctp winners.

About this tournament

Team Trees or Chains welcomes you to the first Mountain Meltdown powered by Innova! This is a PDGA sanctioned and SoCal series C-tier event. The event will be just one day up at the beautiful Sky High Disc Golf Course. We will be playing 2 rounds of 18 holes each.
How so on a 27 hole course? Each round will only use two of the three 9-hole sections of the course per round. The first round will use the front 9 holes and the middle 9 holes, which on the standard course are holes 1-18. The second round will use the front 9 again but have some pin positions moved and the back 9, which are regular course holes 1-9 and 19-27. There will be tournament tee signs labeled 1-18 for players to follow during the round. The event will be shotgun style start for both rounds.
Registration fee for the event will cover each player's entrance for the course, a fine lunch from the grill at the lodge (be sure to make your selection during registration), 2 custom-stamped premium Innova discs, PDGA sanctioning, insurance, and So Cal fees. All non-current PDGA members will be charged a $10 non-membership fee. All non-SoCal Disc Golf members will be charged a $5 non-membership fee. There will be a $5 waitlist fee for any players that decide to add on to the waitlist. The waitlist will be capped at 40 players
This will be a trophy only all amateur event. Trophies will be awarded to the first place finisher in each division. There must be 3 player in a division for that division to be able to go forward. If there are not 3 players in a division, the players will be contacted and given the option to play in a different division or receive a refund for the event (minus dgscene fees).
At this current time, even though we are slowly starting to come back to the way things were before 2020, the risk of covid 19 is still a possibility. Therefore, we will be following all CDC, state, county, PDGA, and local guidelines when it comes playing in our groups and gathering before, during, and after rounds. Every player will be required to acknowledge the dgscene waiver and complete a waiver at the Sky High DGC before checking in for the tournament.
