Good morning Meltdown in the Pines players!!
This event is run and operated by the Richmond County Disc Golf Group as we looked to expand our reach into neighboring counties for the second straight year where the local disc golf courses are underutilized for tournament play! This helps build variety in the community, and by providing our local players with tournaments throughout the year.
This email will serve as our players meeting for tomorrow morning. This will help us utilize our time due to the potential threat of storms tomorrow afternoon. Below are some logistics for Saturday morning that players should be aware of prior to arriving in the morning.
Tournament Central Location and Info:
- Tournament Central will be located between Hole 1 and Hole 10 near the practice basket at Village of Pinehurst DGC.
CHECK-IN AT TOURNAMENT CENTRAL BETWEEN 8:00 AM AND 8:45 AM
- Also at this location we will have past tournament discs and RCDGG apparel for sale. All Trilogy discs for $10 a disc, and Innova, Lonestar, and Discraft for $15 a disc (as well as any leftover MVP discs for this event once all players packs have been picked up). Apparel prices will be provided on site in the morning. We accept cash, venmo, or PayPal.
Format:
- C-Tier Event
- 2-Round Shotgun Start, With Round 1 Starting at 9:00 AM
- ROUND 2 will begin 45-MINUTES to 1-HOUR after the conclusion of the last card has finished Round 1. NOTE: This time will be dependent upon the weather. We will adjust times on the fly tomorrow to ensure that we can complete our tournament without any delay, but while also respecting the time of our players and recovery.
- An awards ceremony will take place at tournament central at the conclusion of the event for division winners.

Players Packs, Payouts, CTPS/Raffle:
- Pros: 100% Payout after fees to top 45% of each Pro field via Paypal. Trophy for 1st Place Finisher.
- AM's: ONE MVP disc, Hive Glow Hexagon Grid Vinyl, $5 in Lucky Bucks to Lucky Disc Golf, and ONE Colling Towel. Division winners will receive a 1st Place Trophy.
Disc Options for AM's will be: MVP Nomad, MVP Reactor, and Axiom Discs Insanity (FIRST COME FIRST SERVE)
CTP's: There will be CTP's for EVERY GROUP in Round 1 AND Round 2. Round 1 there will be a CTP for every group on Hole 11, and Hole 4 for Round 2. CTP winners will get to chose from an assortment of MVP Lab Second Discs.
Raffles: All players will be placed into a raffle in which there are TWO Black Hole Pro Basket, TWO MVP Pod Disc Stand, and several other items. The raffle will take place prior to the trophy ceremony.
Layout:
Round 1:
- MPO, MA1, MA2, MA40: LONG Tees/Baskets. (New Long Baskets on Holes 11 and 15, as well as new Long Tee Pad on Hole 18. New tee signs will be created for these alternates)
- MA3, MA50, MA60, FA1, FA3: Short Tees/Baskets.
Round 2: ALL DIVISIONS PLAY SHORT TEES/BASKETS
OB/Hazard Info (Also will be in PDGA Live)
Hole 8: OB Long into the Pond
Hole 16: OB Long into the Pond
Hole 17: OB left along fairway into the Pond
