LATE WITHDRAWAL / NO-SHOW
At this point, it is too late to receive a refund. However, if you notify me at 785-764-2229 prior to tee time, amateurs will still receive your player pack.
To cancel, text or call your name and division, with comment you are canceling to 785-764-2229.
GETTING TO THE COURSE -
The construction on Kill Creek Road is now finished. You can access the course from K10. Otherwise, if you go west on Santa Fe Road it will literally deadend to Spoon Creek DGC.
The gates will be open no later than 8AM, possibly earlier.
PARKING -
Parking is permitted in the normal lot and along the road. Do not park near Hole 2 which is on the road itself. Do not park in the far parking lot near holes 11 / 12.
RESTROOMS
Their is a portable restroom at the course hole 1 / parking lot.
CHECK-IN
Check-in is from 8:30 am - 9:15 am at the parking lot near Hole 1. All players, Pro and Am, need to check in. If you don’t check in, I will presume you are a No Call, No Show and you may be scratched from the event.
SCORING
We will be using the PDGA digital scoring system. (This is not Udisc). To access it, go to pdga.com/score. Enter in the password, then your last name or PDGA number, and the card will pull up. There will have paper scorecards as a backup. You can also use udisc as a backup. However, to submit the scores, it needs to be done through the PDGA scoring system.
Password: shindig
CADDY BOOK
Hole lengths, pars, and OB rules are listed in the PDGA app while you are keeping score. They are also provided as pdf’s on dgscene under ‘Documents’

COURSE CONDITIONS
Spoon Creek is NOT cart friendly. There is significant elevation to push a cart up and down.
Regarding the rain - Spook Creek DGC drains really well. It has been pretty dry lately so any rain we did get will either soak into the ground or run off quickly. However, there is significant inclines to traverse, notably holes 9 & 14. I highly recommend you wear good, rugged, high-lugged shoes. We play rain or shine. Delays may be called if there is lightning within 8 miles.
PLAYER PACKS
All players, Pro and Am will get a Shindig record coaster.
All amateurs will also get a tournament stamped Innova disc.
Star Fox
Flat Top KC Pro Roc
Champion Classic Glow Leopard3
GStar Roadrunner
Champion Classic Glow Destroyer
You can read up on these discs here:
https://www.innovadiscs.com/disc-golf-discs/
WATER
There will be a water cooler at the main parking lot which is conveniently located at Holes 1/2/18 and 9>10.
IF YOU NEED TO WITHDRAW
If you decide for any reason that you don’t or can’t play the second round, please tell Brandon, the Tournament Director. This is crucial as it will affect others on how the second round is organized. If you drop out and don’t tell the TD, we are required to report that to the PDGA for possible disciplinary action.
LUNCH BREAK / ROUND 2
We will have an approximately 1 hour lunch break after the last card is completed before starting round 2. You can find your hole assignment and tee time for the second round at the pdga event page:
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/98362
ACE / CTP FUND
If you paid into the ace fund during registration you are included in this. If you didn’t, you can sign up when you check in if you want to. If neither applies, skip to next section.
Thank you for participating into the Ace Fund. With all Maverick DG events, the Ace fund is paid out as large ticket items and not as cash. This is one of the ways MavDG is ‘maverick’ and it helps to pay for tournament expenses. I determine the payout items so that what is given out is higher than what was paid in so both the winner and the tournament benefits.
PRIZES: (prizes are based on what was paid in for each pool and is approximately 150% of what was paid in)
Discatcher EZ Basket (retail $179)
MAX DISCTANCE XF30 Carbon Fiber 30' retriever (retail $165)
MVP ARM retriever ($65)
Please note: If there is a tie for first place in your division, we may start the CTP game before your playoff is done. If you super duper rather play the CTP game than for the First Place Trophy, you can always forfeit the playoff. I would ask you though - why are you playing in a tournament if not to win the prize of First Place?
AWARDS / PAYOUTS
To decrease the amount of congregation we will not have a formal awards ceremony. The awards will be given to the winner after the second round as soon as it is obvious who won.
