DIVISIONS / DATES:


Everyone is playing one round on Saturday, October 24th on a shotgun start. Round one hole assignments will be posted to this link about 9pm tonight. HOWEVER - Please recheck your hole assignments after you check in Saturday morning to make sure they did not change.

LATE WITHDRAWAL / NO-SHOW


At this point, it is too late to receive a refund. However, if you notify me at 785-764-2229 prior to tee time, you will still receive your player pack for an MA3 / FA3 / JR.


To cancel, text or call your name and division, with comment you are canceling to 785-764-2229.


GETTING TO THE COURSE -


You cannot get to Spoon Creek off of Kill Creek Road’s K10 exit. If you are coming from the north or east, take Santa Fe / 135th off of K7 and go west. If you are coming from the south or west, I personally take a southern route.




PARKING -
Parking is permitted in the normal lot and along the road. Do not park near Hole 2 which is on the road itself. Do not park in the far parking lot near holes 11 / 12.





RESTROOMS


Their is a portable restroom at the course hole 1 / parking lot.


CHECK-IN


Check-in is from 9:00 am - 9:45 am at the parking lot near Hole 1. All players, Pro and Am, need to check in. If you don’t check in, I will presume you are a No Call, No Show and you may be scratched from the event.




SCORING


We will be using the PDGA digital scoring system. (This is not Udisc). To access it, go to pdga.com/score. Enter in the password, then your last name or PDGA number, and the card will pull up. I will have paper scorecards as a backup. You can also use udisc as a backup. However, to submit the scores, it needs to be done through the PDGA scoring system.

Hole lengths, pars, and OB rules are listed in the PDGA app while you are keeping score. They are also provided as pdf’s on dgscene under ‘Documents’

COURSE CONDITIONS


Spoon Creek is NOT cart friendly. There is significant elevation to push a cart up and down.


Regarding the rain - Spook Creek DGC drains really well. It has been pretty dry lately so any rain we did get will either soak into the ground or run off quickly. However, there is significant inclines to traverse, notably holes 9 & 14. I highly recommend you wear good, rugged, high-lugged shoes. If we get a lot of rain tonight (which is not expected) we will make a decision to play in the 9 - 10 am window.




AMATEUR PLAYER PACKS


For most amateurs there isn’t a player pack. To protect the MA3 / FA3 / JRS division from people playing down, those divisions are a player disc (or voucher) with no payout.


WATER

Because this is a short one-round course, I will not be bringing a water cooler. Plan accordingly.




ACE / CTP FUND


The ace fund for this event is a cash payout. If no aces are hit the money will go towards fund raising for the Maverick Disc Golf Championship.


AWARDS / PAYOUTS


To decrease the amount of congregation we will not have a formal awards ceremony. PRO PAYOUTS can be either a check picked up at the shop, a check mailed to you, or PayPal Goods and Services (winner pays fees) based on what you chose during registration. AM PAYOUTS are redeemable at Maverick Disc Golf in Olathe, KS. If you proactively request one, you can also redeem it at our webstore maverickdiscgolf.com. If you choose the webstore, it will not cover shipping.


TROPHIES


Since this is a low cost, no frills event, trophies were not ordered. I will have Blue Ribbons for those that win their division and would like one.


PDGA POSTING


My goal is to have the 'official' results posted to the PDGA by Sunday evening.

MA3 / FA3 / JR Divisions will receive either a $14 voucher for Maverick Disc Golf or choose from an assortment of discs on hand at the event. Discs will include old tournament stamps, misprints, etc. from a variety of manufacturers.

Higher amateur players will be payout only with no player pack.

TROPHIES & PRIZES:

Because this is a one round event, no trophies are planned. I will have some Blue Ribbons for the winners that want one.

September 22, 2025 Update to entry into the Maverick Disc Golf Championship.

Players that have already earned a free entry have been registered. There is nothing more you need to do for now.

Players that have already earned a reduced fee entry have been put on the reserved list by their name and PDGA number. What you need to do: I would recommend you register now to lock in your registration and submit your shirt size (for amateurs). If you contact me I can give you a 50% discount code. If you end up earning a free entry I will refund you the entry fee you paid.

Players that have 3 to 5 points that could win a reduced fee but have not yet done so. What you need to do: I would recommend you register now to lock in your registration and submit your shirt size (for amateurs). If you end up earning a reduced entry fee I will refund you the the 50% you paid.

Players that have 2 or less points, you won’t be able to earn a reduced fee, but are still welcome to register. There are approximately 35 spots per Pool that will open up on Friday, September 26 at 6am.

Other important dates:
Monday October 6, 2025 10 AM - cutoff for guaranteed shirt size
Wednesday October 8, 2025 11:59PM - cutoff for full refund
Monday October 20, 2025 10 AM - removal of unpaid reservations and waitlists adjusted
Sunday, October 26, 2025 11:59PM - cutoff for refund with $10 handling fee. Requests for refund after this date will only be granted if the spot is filled from a waitlist for that pool.
Saturday, November 4, 2025 11:59PM - No refunds will be issued after this point (except those on the waitlist)
