Welcome to the 3rd Running of the Bull!
PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE EMAIL. WE ARE NOT HAVING AN OFFICIAL PLAYER MEETING…THIS EMAIL IS YOUR PLAYER MEETING.
If you are receiving this email because you used your email when signing up another player for the event, please forward this info to that player.
THANK YOU:
HUGE THANK YOU Will Trimble who runs this tournament as a volunteer to give back to the sport. We appreciate you Will!
DIVISIONS / DATES:
Everyone is playing two rounds on Saturday, April 16th. Hole assignments have been posted:
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/58222
Round two shotgun start time and hole assignments will be posted at the same link above.
>> As a reminder - you still need to check in with the Course Director from 8:00 - 8:40 the day of your event. Check in will be located near Hole 1.
LATE WITHDRAWAL / NO-SHOW
It is past the cutoff to request a full refund. If you cannot make it and notify me at 785-764-2229 prior to your tee time, you will still receive your player pack. To cancel, text or call your name and division, with comment you are canceling to the tournament director or Rob at 785-764-2229.
PARKING -
There should be enough room to park especially as we limited the field size to 72. Please be courteous and do not take up extra space.
RESTROOMS
There is a modern restroom at the course.
CHECK-IN
Check-in is from 8:00 am - 8:40 am near Hole 1.
SCORING
We will be using the PDGA digital scoring system. (This is not Udisc). To access it, go to pdga.com/score. Enter in the password, then your last name or PDGA number, and the card will pull up. I will have paper scorecards as a backup. You can also use udisc as a backup. However, to submit the scores, it needs to be done through the PDGA scoring system.

COURSE CONDITIONS / INCLEMENT WEATHER
There are no known adverse conditions.
The tournament plays rain or shine or snow. If there is lightening, the Tournament Director will sound the air horn in three quick blasts and then repeat it again one minute later. If this happens, do not finish your hole. Mark your lie with a rock or a stick (something heavy) and seek shelter. We then suspend play until thirty minutes after the last lightening event. The restart time will be communicated by the tournament director and posted on the dgscene and facebook event pages.
PLAYER PACKS
All amatuer players will receive a tournament stamped Discraft disc. All recreational players will also receive a standard size bag of Double G Craft jerky.
Disc molds and color choices are on a first come, first serve basis. This list of available discs is for you to help do some research ahead of time to make the process faster.
ESP Heat - understable distance driver
Z Zone - overstable approach putter
ESP Buzzz - neutral to slightly stable midrange
Z Nuke - overstable distance driver
WATER
There will be a limited amount of water at the course. The water on the course is a back-up. You NEED to bring enough water for you to last the day.
BONUS PRIZES
ROUND ONE PRIZE: If you have the Hot Round of your whole division (not your card, but the whole division) you will get a Hot Round mini. They are not much, only a mini, but the only way you can get one is by having the Hot Round, so it’s kind of cool. See the TD if you won the whole division for the first round only.
LUNCH BREAK / ROUND 2
We will have an approximately 1 hour lunch break after the last card is completed before starting round 2. Round two hole assignments will not be the same as round one. Round two will be found at the same pdga even link:
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/58222
IF YOU NEED TO WITHDRAW
If you decide for any reason that you don’t or can’t play the second round, please tell Will Trimble, the onsite Tournament Director. This is crucial as it will affect others on how the second round is organized.
ACE / CTP FUND
If you paid into the ace fund during registration you are included in this. If you didn’t pay in you can skip to next section.
Thank you for participating into the Ace Fund. With all Maverick DG events, the Ace fund is paid out as large ticket items and not as cash. This is one of the ways MavDG is ‘maverick’ and it helps to pay for tournament expenses. I determine the payout items so that what is given out is higher than what was paid in so both the winner and the tournament benefits.
PRIZES:
Normally we have multiple items from the presenting sponsor for the Ace Fund prizes. At the time this tournament order was placed, large ticket items were out of stock. So we are substituting these items in their place.
Qty 1 Dynamic Discs Marksman Lite practice basket
Qty 1 GRIPeq Strawberry G-series bag
Qty 1 Dynamic Discs 1-prong Retriever
The retail value of the prizes meets or exceeds 150% of value that was paid in.
Please note: If there is a tie for first place in your division, we may start the CTP game before your playoff is done. If you super duper rather play the CTP game than for the First Place Trophy, you can always forfeit the playoff. I would ask you though - why are you playing in a tournament if not to win the prize of First Place?

AWARDS / PAYOUTS
To decrease the amount of congregation we will not have a formal awards ceremony. Trophies will be given out as soon as the clear winner has been determined. If you think you may be getting a trophy, please stick around to take it home with you as we won’t be able to mail them. Unclaimed trophies can be collected at our Olathe, KS store.
PRO PAYOUTS can be either a check mailed to you to save fees, or via PayPal Goods and Services (winner pays fees) based on what you chose during registration.
AM PAYOUTS can either be redeemed via our webstore, maverickdiscgolf.com or in person at our physical store in Olathe, KS at 600 E. Santa Fe St. Ste C. At this time the webstore only has about 25% of what the physical store does. We are working to get more listed.
All payout vouchers for all Maverick DG vended tournaments in 2022 expire 12/31/2022.
TROPHIES
There is a First Place trophy for all divisions.
PDGA POSTING
My goal is to have the 'official' results posted to the PDGA by Sunday evening.
