Wow!  Trevor Hastert and Eric Eastwood has volunteered to run the event for us this Saturday so we don't have to reschedule!

Eric designed the course at Raymore Recreation Park and has run a handful of non-sanctioned events (maybe even sanctioned ones, not sure).  Both Eric and Trevor are Certified Officials.
I will be working on putting together the player email this evening that will take the place of the player meeting.  The first round will be digital and hopefully the second round as well, but we will be prepared with score cards if we need to use them.

Normally it would be too late to withdraw without a $5 penalty.  Because of the circumstances, anyone that wants to withdraw can do so without penalty.  The dgscene and PayPal fees are not refundable, sorry.  The option to withdraw without penalty will end at 10 AM Friday so I can begin creating hole assignments.

Amateur player packs will be available.  All payouts will be done from me.  For pros, I will mail you a check or Paypal G&S.  For Ams, I will post what your winning amounts are which you can redeem at the 3 remaining Maverick DG events this year, or I can issue you a gift card to be used at my website.  The website is a bit thin, but the intention was to load a bunch of stuff on it after I got past this tournament.  We'll see how I'm feeling Covid wise.

Raymore Rumble 2021 OB Rules

General rules: Roads (on and beyond), building, parking lots are OB. Any water on Holes 10-18 is casual. Sidewalks will change OB rules to one of three situations depending on the hole. Read the OB rules for each hole. The various options are 1) On & Beyond OB, 2) OB River (either side is safe but on it is OB) and 3) Safe

HOLE 1: PAR 3, 318’
Sidewalk and beyond left and past basket are OB. Soccer field is safe. Sidewalk you cross is a river OB.

HOLE 2: POOL A LONG PAD 359’, PAR 3 / POOL B SHORT PAD 198’ PAR 3
Sidewalk, then road left and beyond are OB. Pond is OB. Sidewalk that long tee crosses is a river OB.

HOLE 3: POOL A LONG PAD PAR 3, 410’ / POOL B SHORT PAD PAR 3, 327’
ALL POOLS: On or over road is OB. OB road always plays last inbounds location. Sidewalks that cross fairway are safe.
POOL A: Pond is OB. If you go in pond on first tee shot, then proceed to marked Drop Zone (Short Pad). Normal OB rules from the Drop Zone apply. On or over road is OB. OB road always plays last inbounds location. Sidewalks that cross fairway are safe.
POOL B: If you go in pond on first tee, play last inbounds.

HOLE 4: PAR 3, 248’
Sidewalks and beyond are OB.

HOLE 5: PAR 3, 348’
Sidewalk on and beyond is OB. Sidewalk near building and all rock areas are OB. Parking lot is OB. PLEASE DON'T HIT THE BUILD

HOLE 6: PAR 3, 287’
Parking lot and trash area is OB. Tennis courts is OB. Concrete/asphalt around tennis courts is OB. Sidewalk in the middle of fairway is safe. On and over Sidewalk from parking lot to tennis courts is OB.

HOLE 7: PAR 3, 315’
Road and beyond is OB. Water is OB. Inside baseball fields are OB. Sidewalks / bridge are safe.

HOLE 8: POOL A LONG PAD PAR 3, 274’ / POOL B SHORT PAD PAR 3 216’
POOL A: Pond is OB. If you go in pond on first tee shot, then proceed to Short Pad. Normal OB rules from the Drop Zone apply. On or over road is OB. OB road always plays last inbounds location. Sidewalks that cross fairway are safe.
POOL B: If you go in pond on first tee, play last inbounds.

HOLE 9: PAR 3, 330’
Inside baseball fields or on soccer field (if painted) is OB. Sidewalks you cross is safe. Sidewalk and beyond behind basket is OB. On or over Sidewalk from parking lot to soccer field is OB.

HOLE 10: POOL A INNER WOODS PAD PAR 3, 338’ / POOL B OPEN GRASS PAD PAR 3, 366’
Sidewalk left and beyond is OB. Barbed wire right is OB. 2 M relief from barb wire fence.

HOLE 11: PAR 3, 243’
Sidewalk and beyond is OB.

HOLE 12: POOL A PAR 3 420’ / POOL B PAR 4 420’
All pools use concrete pad. Sidewalk and beyond to left is OB. Parking lot is OB.

HOLE 13: PAR 3, 264’
Sidewalk and beyond to left and behind basket is OB.

HOLE 14: PAR 3, 240’
Sidewalk and beyond left is OB.

HOLE 15: POOL A LONG PAD PAR 4, 465’ / POOL B SHORT PAD PAR 4, 409’
Sidewalk and beyond left is OB. Private property and fences to the right as you go around the corner is OB. Any water in ditch is casual.

HOLE 16: POOL A LONG PAD PAR 3, 443’ / POOL B SHORT PAD PAR 3, 282’
Tall grass is OB. If you go into tall grass on your drive, proceed to marked Drop Zone at end of tall grass. Either side of tall grass is safe. On or over sidewalks is OB. Any mowed walk way through tall grass is safe.

HOLE 17: PAR 3, 304’
Sidewalk is an OB river. Either side is safe.

HOLE 18: PAR 3, 276’

DIVISIONS / DATES:

Everyone is playing two rounds on Saturday, August 14th on a shotgun start. Round one hole assignments will be posted link below before Friday 5pm.

LATE WITHDRAWAL / NO-SHOW

Because of the initial cancelling, then restarting this event, along with concerns regarding me testing positive for Covid, you are able to withdraw from this event, without penalty, until 10 AM Friday. After that point withdraws are not available. However, if you notify me via at 785-764-2229 at least one hour prior to tee time, you will still receive your player pack for an Am, and for the Pros I’ll mail you a towel. It’s not required, but I appreciate the heads up. No call, no show forfeits your player pack and entry fee.

To cancel, text or call your name and division, with comment you are cancelling to 785-764-2229.

PARKING -

It is best to park in the lots next to the tennis courts and soccer fields.



RESTROOMS

The restrooms at the Optimist Shelter (in the middle) should be open along with a couple portable restrooms and the REC center near hole 4.


CHECK-IN

Check-in is from 8:00 am - 8:45 am at the course. Check in will either be at the Optimist Shelter or under the awnings for the ball fields for shade. All players, Pro and Am, need to check in. If you don’t check in, I will presume you are a No Call, No Show and you may be scratched from the event. Tee time for round one will be 9:00 AM.


SCORING

We will be using the PDGA digital scoring system. (This is not Udisc). To access it, go to pdga.com/score. Enter in the password, then your last name or PDGA number, and the card will pull up. I will have paper scorecards as a backup. You can also use udisc as a backup. However, to submit the scores, it needs to be done through the PDGA scoring system.

COURSE CONDITIONS

There are no adverse course conditions that I am aware of at this time.

AMATEUR PLAYER PACKS

All Amateurs will receive a tournament stamped disc along with a GRIPeq or Maverick towel. Additionally, Recreational Players will also receive bonus item.

ESP Thrasher - neutal stability distance driver
Z-line Buzzz - neutral mid-range
Z-line Undertaker - stable fairway driver
Jawbreaker Roach - neutral putter
ESP Zone - very overstable putter / mid-range tweener

WATER

While there will be at least one to two water coolers at TD Central or the course, I fully expect they will go dry at some point. They will be refilled as soon as possible, but you need to be prepared to bring enough water for yourself. The water on the course is a back-up.


ROUND PRIZES

Due to the unusual nature of running this event from a distance, we are not going to award win your card prizes as we normally would. Thank you for understanding.

IF YOU NEED TO WITHDRAW

If you decide for any reason that you don’t or can’t play the second round, please tell Eric (TD on location) or Rob via text at 785-764-2229. This is crucial as it will affect others on how the second round is organized.

LUNCH BREAK / ROUND 2

We will have an approximately 1 hour lunch break after the last card is completed before starting round 2. Your second round card mates and starting holes will be different. You can find your hole assignment and tee time for the second round at the pdga event page:

ACE / CTP FUND

If you paid into the ace fund during registration you are included in this. If you didn’t, you can sign up when you check in if you want to. It costs $5. If neither applies, skip to next section.

Thank you for participating into the Ace Fund. With all Maverick DG events, the Ace fund is paid out as large ticket items and not as cash. This is one of the ways MavDG is ‘maverick’ and it helps to pay for tournament expenses. I determine the payout items so that what is given out is higher than what was paid in so both the winner and the tournament benefits.

PRIZES:
The prizes for the ace pool will be GRIPeq bags. There is a Ledgestone addition B-series and a gray C-series.

Please note: If there is a tie for first place in your division, we may start the CTP game before your playoff is done. I realize that this policy has changed in the past and I’m trying to be consistent with it. If you super duper rather play the CTP game than for the First Place Trophy, you can always forfeit the playoff. I would ask you though - why are you playing in a tournament if not to win the prize of First Place?

AWARDS / PAYOUTS

To decrease the amount of congregation we will not have a formal awards ceremony. The awards will be given to the winner after the second round at the course you finish. There are First Place trophies for ALL divisions, Recreational Division has trophies for First, Second and Third.

PRO PAYOUTS can be either a check mailed to you (i.e. no fees) or PayPal Goods and Services (winner pays fees) based on what you chose during registration.

AM PAYOUTS I am sorry that Am Payouts will not be available the day of the event on location. I can either provide to you a gift card voucher to redeem via my webstore maverickdiscgolf.com. If you choose the webstore, it will charge you sales tax (for Kansas) and shipping. Or, you can carry the voucher over to one of the 3 remaining Maverick DG events for this year.

As a reminder, All Recreational Divisions and all Junior Divisions are player pack and trophy only with no additional payout.

This morning I tested positive for Covid with a nasal swab.  I did receive the two shot Pfizer vaccine back in May / June.  The nasal swab test is a quick one-hour turnaround.  I plan on getting a second test Friday or Monday for a longer saliva test, but those results wouldn't be back in time for Saturday.  Therefore I am postponing the Raymore Rumble.

I do not have a reschedule date yet.  My preferred date is 9/18, but need to confirm this with the PDGA, and both the Kansas and Missouri state coordinators.

Until a reschedule date is confirmed I will hold off on issuing refunds.  It's an administrative nightmare to refund now only to reopen registration in a few days for a date one month away.  Thank you for your understanding and patience.
