THANK YOU SPONSORS:
THANK YOU to Innova Disc Golf for their title sponsorship.
Thank you also to Kent Bryan and the Kaw Valley Disc Golf Club (Lawrence) for their ongoing work at the course.
DIVISIONS / DATES:
Everyone is playing one round on tee times tomorrow, Saturday April 13th. You are required to check in the me at least 5 minutes before your tee time. You can check in with me as soon as you get to the course if it is earlier. Tee times will be posted at this link by 10:30 this morning.

LATE WITHDRAWAL / NO-SHOW
It is past the cutoff to request a refund. If you cannot make it and notify me at 785-764-2229 15 minutes prior to your tee time, amateurs will still receive their player pack. To cancel, text or call your name and division, with comment you are canceling to Rob at 785-764-2229.
PARKING -
The Corps of Engineers require us to park on only one side of the road. Therefore, park ONLY on the EAST side which is the side AWAY from the fairway of Hole 18. If you park on the wrong side, there is a possibility that you could be towed - at your expense.
Please do not park anywhere along the road that is near a golf fairway.
RESTROOMS
There is a restroom at the boat ramps which is â…” of a mile past the disc golf course. Since this is only one round I didn’t order a portable restroom.
CHECK-IN
Check-in a minimum of 5 minutes before your tee time. Earlier is better.
SCORING
We will be using the PDGA digital scoring system. (This is not Udisc). To access it, go to pdga.com/score. Enter in the password, then your last name or PDGA number, and the card will pull up. I will have paper scorecards as a backup. You can also use udisc as a backup. However, to submit the scores, it needs to be done through the PDGA scoring system.

CADDY BOOK
Hole lengths, pars, and OB rules are listed in the PDGA app while you are keeping score. The course rules are very simple:.
OB: On or over any road, parking lot, in or on shelter.
Water: Holes 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 is OB if completely surrounded by water. All other water on course is casual. Surrounded by water means, if there is water between your disc and the shore line, it is OB. Even if it's touching a rock, or grass, or a tiny island, if that rock / grass / island is surrounded by water you are OB.

COURSE CONDITIONS / INCLEMENT WEATHER
There are no known adverse conditions.
The tournament plays rain or shine or snow. If there is lightening, the Tournament Director will sound the air horn in three quick blasts and then repeat it again one minute later. If this happens, do not finish your hole. Mark your lie with a rock or a stick (something heavy) and seek shelter. We then suspend play until thirty minutes after the last lightening event. The restart time will be communicated by the tournament director and posted on the dgscene and facebook event pages.
PLAYER PACKS
All amateur players will receive a tournament stamped Innova disc. Recreational divisions (MA3 / FA3) will receive your choice of a bonus Innova Target Bottle Opener/Keychain or Dew Fly Towel.

WATER
There will be a limited amount of water at the course. The water on the course is a back-up. You NEED to bring enough water for you to last the day.
AWARDS / PAYOUTS
TROPHY AWARDS
To decrease the amount of congregation we will not have a formal awards ceremony. Trophies will be given out as soon as the clear winner has been determined. Since this is one round on tee times, I don’t expect people to wait until their division is finished. The trophies are rosette ribbons. I chose these as the trophies because they are easily mailed which I can do if you can’t wait. There will be a First Place ribbon for all ‘M’ (mixed/male) divisions with 3 or more players and all ‘F’ (female) divisions with 2 or more players. MA3 will have First, Second and Third place ribbons.
PRO PAYOUTS can be either a check mailed to you to save fees, or via PayPal Goods and Services (player pays fees) based on what you chose during registration.
AM PAYOUTS can either be redeemed via our webstore, maverickdiscgolf.com or in person at our physical store in Olathe, KS at 600 E. Santa Fe St. Ste C.
All payout vouchers for all Maverick DG vended tournaments in 2024 expire 12/31/2024.
PDGA POSTING
My goal is to have the 'official' results posted to the PDGA by Monday evening.
THANK YOU
I want to sincerely thank you for choosing to play in Maverick Disc Golf events, and particularly the Longview Open. If you are a first timer, I hope you enjoy it!
