Welcome to the 2026 Heritage Honors presented by Innova Discs
PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE EMAIL. IT CONTAINS INFORMATION YOU NEED FOR THE TOURNAMENT.
If you are receiving this email because you used your email when signing up another player for the event, please forward this info to that player.
THANK YOU SPONSORS:
Thank you to Innova Discs.
Thank you to Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers for their tee sign sponsorship.
DIVISIONS / DATES:
Everyone is playing two rounds on Saturday March 28th. Both rounds are on a shotgun start.
Round one hole assignments have been posted at this link below:
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/98361
LATE WITHDRAWAL / NO-SHOW
At this point, it is too late to receive a refund. However, if you notify me at 785-764-2229 prior to Round One’s tee time, you will still receive your player pack for an Amatuer. It’s not required, but I appreciate the heads up. No call, no show forfeits your player pack and entry fee.
To cancel, text or call your name and division, with a comment you are canceling to 785-764-2229.
PARKING -
Please use the actual parking lots at the course. Do not park along the streets.
RESTROOMS
It is unknown if the flush toilets are operational yet, but otherwise there are portable toilets at the parking lot.
CHECK-IN
Check-in is from 8:15 am - 8:50 am at the shelter near Hole 18. All players, Pro and Am, need to check in. If you don’t check in, I will presume you are a No Call, No Show and you may be scratched from the event. Tee time for round one will be 9:00 AM.
SCORING
We will be using the PDGA digital scoring system. (This is not Udisc). To access it, go to pdga.com/score. Enter in the password, then your last name or PDGA number, and the card will pull up. I will have paper scorecards as a backup. You can also use udisc as a backup. However, to submit the scores, it needs to be done through the PDGA scoring system.
Access code: velvet
CADDY BOOK
Hole lengths, pars, and OB rules are listed in the PDGA app while you are keeping score. We will also have them posted at Tournament Central if you want to take a picture. You can also look at them under the Documents section on the registration page.

WEATHER CONDITIONS
We will follow the PDGA Competition Manual (Rules) regarding adverse weather conditions which can be found here:
https://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/107
Basically, we play rain or shine. If there is lightning or hail, the TD will blast an air horn three times, and will continue to repeat it. If the horn has been used, mark your lie with a rock, stick in the mud, etc. to be able to resume play when the weather delay is over. Play will resume 30 minutes after the last lightning strike. If a Tornado Watch or Warning has been issued by NOAA, we will suspend play until the watch is over. If the Watch or Warning is long enough that we will not be able to finish, the results will be official after the first round.
PLAYER PACKS
Amateurs will receive an Innova tournament stamped disc and a miniature record coaster/mini.
Pros can also get one of the record coaster/minis as well.
For the Amateur player pack discs, you get your choice of one of the following:
The player pack discs are:
XT Classic Glow Nova
Champion Roc+
Luster Champion TeeBird3
Luster Champion Tern
Halo Star Destroyer
You can find descriptions of the discs here:
https://www.innovadiscs.com/disc-golf-discs/
WATER
You are responsible for bringing enough water with you for both rounds. We will have a limited amount of backup water bottles at Tournament Central.
IF YOU NEED TO WITHDRAW
If you decide for any reason that you don’t or can’t play the second round, please tell EJ, the Tournament Director. This is crucial as it will affect others on how the second round is organized.
LUNCH BREAK / ROUND 2
We will have an approximately 1 hour lunch break after the last card is completed before starting round 2. You can find your hole assignment and tee time for the second round at the pdga event page:
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/98361
ACE / CTP FUND
If you paid into the ace fund during registration you are included in this. If you didn’t, you can sign up when you check in if you want to. If neither applies, skip to next section.
Thank you for participating into the Ace Fund. With all Maverick DG events, the Ace fund is paid out as large ticket items and not as cash. This is one of the ways MavDG is ‘maverick’ and it helps to pay for tournament expenses. I determine the payout items so that what is given out is higher than what was paid in so both the winner and the tournament benefits.
Each pool will have their own Ace Funds and the CTPs will be done when Round 2 finishes.
PRIZES: (prizes are based on what was paid in for each pool and is approximately 150% of what was paid in)
Pool A:
Innova Discatcher Traveler: (retails $170)
Pool B:
Max Disctance 20’ carbon fiber retriever (retails $125)
Innova Safari Bag (retails $99)
Please note: If there is a tie for first place in your division, we may start the CTP game before your playoff is done. If you super duper rather play the CTP game than for the First Place Trophy, you can always forfeit the playoff. I would ask you though - why are you playing in a tournament if not to win the prize of First Place?
AWARDS / PAYOUTS
To decrease the amount of congregation we will not have a formal awards ceremony. The awards will be given to the winner after the second round as soon as it is obvious who won.
All winners of each division, regardless of size or Pro or Am will receive a Raising Cane’s Gift Card for a Box Combo meal.
PRO PAYOUTS can be either a check picked up at the shop, a check mailed to you, or PayPal Goods and Services (winner pays fees) based on what you chose during registration.
AM PAYOUTS have the choice of the following:
Redeemed at the Olathe store before the end of the year
Online code to be used at my webstore maverickdiscgolf.com. If you choose the webstore, it will charge you shipping and sales tax on what is beyond the payout code.
As a reminder, All Recreational and Junior divisions are player pack and trophy only with no additional payout. (MA3, FA3, and all Juniors)
Round One will have a Hot Round Mini for the hot round in your whole division (not just your card). The only way you can get this mini is by having a Hot Round. While small, it’s kind of exclusive.
Round Two will be win your card, win a prize. This will be for all cards. Come see EJ after your round to get the prize.
PDGA POSTING
My goal is to have the 'official' results posted to the PDGA within 24 hours.
THANK YOU
I want to sincerely thank you for choosing to play in Maverick Disc Golf events, and particularly the Heritage Honors. If you are a first timer, I hope you enjoy it!
