Thank you for coming to the Crestview Cup pres by Innova! I hope you are recovering today from the event.
I would like to apologize for the timing of the free beer. It's been over a year since we have had a beer sponsor for our events. I was a bit rusty on the coordination and didn't communicate as well as I needed with our vendor. The double bogey was all on me. I promise we will do better next we have a beer sponsor. For those that did stick around, there was some very delicious Yankee Tank beer.
All pro payments have been issued via check or Paypal. For amateurs, you can check your merchandise credit award on the front page of dgscene. If you didn't collect it, contact me to discuss your options.

WATER

It is going to be incredibly hot. While there will be water coolers on the course I fully expect they will go dry at some point. They will be refilled as soon as possible, but you need to be prepared to bring enough water for yourself. The water on the course is a back-up.

IF YOU NEED TO WITHDRAW

If you decide for any reason that you don’t or can’t play the second round, please tell Rob, the Tournament Director. This is crucial as it will affect others on how the second round is organized.


ROUND PRIZES

There are prizes for both Round 1 and Round 2.

Round 1 - If you have the Hot Round (lowest score) for your whole DIVISION, there is a Hot Round mini. You may say it’s only a mini, but the only way you can get one is by having the hot round. It’s a pride thing. (Fine Print - must have 2 people in the division to have a Hot Round. If there is a tie, a judgement call will be made to either award all ties a mini if the division is large, the first hole that was won - i.e. skins - will be awarded if the division is small.)

Round 2 - Win your card, win a prize is BACK! If you win your card, make sure you see Rob to get a prize from the WHITE TOY BOX.

DIVISIONS / DATES:

Everyone is playing two rounds on Saturday, June 19th on a shotgun start. Round one hole assignments have been posted, but you still need to check in first.

LATE WITHDRAWAL / NO-SHOW

At this point, it is too late to receive a refund. However, if you notify me at 785-764-2229 prior to tee time, you will still receive your player pack for an Am, and for the Pros I’ll mail you an Innova towel. It’s not required, but I appreciate the heads up. No call, no show forfeits your player pack and entry fee.

To cancel, text or call your name and division, with comment you are cancelling to 785-764-2229.

PARKING -
There is plenty of parking for both the East and West courses if we split up between the two lots. If you are playing East, please park in the East lot to make room. If you decide to park on a street, make sure you are not parking along the side of a fairway, even if parking is allowed.

RESTROOMS

The Shelter House where you check in will be open all day long with restrooms. The community building next to the BMX track and East course is generally open until noon.

CHECK-IN

Check-in is from 8am - 9:00 am at the Shelter House by West Hole 1. All players, Pro and Am, need to check in. If you don’t check in, I will presume you are a No Call, No Show and you may be scratched from the event.


SCORING

We will be using the PDGA digital scoring system. (This is not Udisc). To access it, go to pdga.com/score. Enter in the password, then your last name or PDGA number, and the card will pull up. I will have paper scorecards as a backup. You can also use udisc as a backup. However, to submit the scores, it needs to be done through the PDGA scoring system.

Thank you to the Dawn to Dusk Disc Golf Club for prepping our two courses today. Both courses are very cart friendly.

AMATEUR PLAYER PACKS

Ams will receive a Maverick DG stainless steel insulated hot drink / cold can cooler CUP thingy. They’re pretty cool. You have a choice of orange or grey. The left overs will be for sale afterwards. You will also receive a tournament stamped Innova disc. If you want to research the available discs ahead of time, they are:

LUNCH BREAK / ROUND 2

We will have an approximately 1 hour lunch break after the last card is completed before starting round 2. There is a good possibility that one Pool may start at a different time for the second round then the other. This is actually helpful for us at the end. Check this link after Round One to find your starting time and hole.

ACE / CTP FUND

If you paid into the ace fund during registration you are included in this. If you didn’t, you can sign up when you check in if you want to. If neither applies, skip to next section.

Thank you for participating into the Ace Fund. With all Maverick DG events, the Ace fund is paid out as large ticket items and not as cash. This is one of the ways MavDG is ‘maverick’ and it helps to pay for tournament expenses. I determine the payout items so that what is given out is higher than what was paid in so both the winner and the tournament benefits.

Since we have two pools, I’ve split the prizes as well. If one pool finishes earlier than the other we will proceed with the CTP game to keep’er moving. Each pool has three prizes with the Pool A retail value as $340 and Pool B retail value as $270 as a reflection of what was paid in.

Please note: If there is a tie for first place in your division, we may start the CTP game before your playoff is done. I realize that this policy has changed in the past and I’m trying to be consistent with it. If you super duper rather play the CTP game than for the First Place Trophy, you can always forfeit the playoff. I would ask you though - why are you playing in a tournament if not to win the prize of First Place?

AWARDS / PAYOUTS

To decrease the amount of congregation we probably will not have a formal awards ceremony. I will give the award as soon as the clear winner is determined after the second round. PRO PAYOUTS can be either a check picked up the same day, a check mailed to you, or PayPal Goods and Services (winner pays fees) based on what you chose during registration. AM PAYOUTS can either be the same day with inventory I have on-hand, or you can receive a Gift Card code to redeem via my webstore maverickdiscgolf.com. If you choose the webstore, it will charge you sales tax and shipping. I do have some items in my tournament bins that are not available online, and I have some stuff online that is not available in my tournament bins.

PDGA POSTING

My goal is to have the 'official' results posted to the PDGA by Sunday evening, April 11 so that they are included in Tuesday April 13th's ratings update. There is a slight chance that Sunday's results won't get done in time. I will certainly try, but please accept my apologies if they are not.
