September 22, 2025 Update to entry into the Maverick Disc Golf Championship.

Players that have already earned a free entry have been registered. There is nothing more you need to do for now.

Players that have already earned a reduced fee entry have been put on the reserved list by their name and PDGA number. What you need to do: I would recommend you register now to lock in your registration and submit your shirt size (for amateurs). If you contact me I can give you a 50% discount code. If you end up earning a free entry I will refund you the entry fee you paid.

Players that have 3 to 5 points that could win a reduced fee but have not yet done so. What you need to do: I would recommend you register now to lock in your registration and submit your shirt size (for amateurs). If you end up earning a reduced entry fee I will refund you the the 50% you paid.

Players that have 2 or less points, you won’t be able to earn a reduced fee, but are still welcome to register. There are approximately 35 spots per Pool that will open up on Friday, September 26 at 6am.

Monday October 6, 2025 10 AM - cutoff for guaranteed shirt size
Wednesday October 8, 2025 11:59PM - cutoff for full refund
Monday October 20, 2025 10 AM - removal of unpaid reservations and waitlists adjusted
Sunday, October 26, 2025 11:59PM - cutoff for refund with $10 handling fee. Requests for refund after this date will only be granted if the spot is filled from a waitlist for that pool.
Saturday, November 4, 2025 11:59PM - No refunds will be issued after this point (except those on the waitlist)

DIVISIONS / DATES:

Everyone is playing one round per day on tee times Saturday, June 21 and Sunday June 22. Round one tee times will be posted mid-day Friday at the link below.

Round two tee times will be posted at the same link within two hours after round one has completed.

Please check in 15 minutes before your tee time. You are required to be at Hole 1 starting area 5 minutes before your tee time and remain present. A two stroke penalty may be assessed if you are late.


LATE WITHDRAWAL / NO-SHOW

At this point, it is too late to receive a refund. However, if you notify me at 785-764-2229 more than 5 minutes before your tee time, you will still receive your player pack for an Am.

To cancel, text or call your name and division, with comment you are canceling to 785-764-2229.

PARKING -
There are two different parking lots you can use. I’m not sure how full the lots will be as we cannot reserve the lots. I would recommend that you car pool if you can and that you get to the course in plenty of time in order to park.

RESTROOMS

Their are restrooms 800’ from hole 1 on the other side of the large shelter. There are no additional restrooms on the course.

PRACTICE AREA

There is a junior 9-hole course adjacent to the course we are playing. The holes are varied but are generally less than 200’. They do have full size baskets.

CHECK-IN

Optional Early Bird Player Pack pickup is available Thursday and Friday, June 19 & 20 at Maverick Disc Golf, 623 N Central St. Ste C, Olathe, KS 66061. If you registered after May 27 and were not able to reserve a shorts size, the sizes available will be on a first come, first serve. Pro Tip, come in for your player pack and you'll likely get the size that fits! The extra sizes we ordered were:
Size 30 - 3
Size 32 - 22
Size 34 - 16
Size 36 - 6
Size 38 - 12
Size 40 - 3

(If you registered prior to May 27th, your short size was reserved.)

Day of Check-in and player pack pick up will be at the picnic tables near Hole 1.

SCORING

Every player is required to keep score for every person on their card. We will be using the PDGA digital scoring system. (This is not Udisc). To access it, go to pdga.com/score. Enter in the password, then your last name or PDGA number, and the card will pull up. I will have paper scorecards as a backup. You can also use udisc as a backup. However, to submit the scores, it needs to be done through the PDGA scoring system.

CADDY BOOK

Hole lengths, pars, and OB rules are listed in the PDGA app while you are keeping score. They should match the tee signs at each tee. If they do not match, the PDGA app is the official document.


COURSE CONDITIONS

Black Hoof is mostly cart friendly with the exception of the steps from Hole 1 to Hole 2. The fairways have been mowed well, but off of the fairway can be tall grass or thick undergrowth. Tick repellent is highly recommended. Be aware that these are woods and watch your step when off the fairway.

AMATEUR PLAYER PACKS

All Ams will receive a pair of Maverick Hybrid Stretch Shorts and a tournament stamped Innova Disc. Those that registered prior to May 27th could reserve a short size. Those that registered after the cutoff will be limited to the sizes that are left over.

WATER

You need to bring enough water for yourself for the whole round. While there will be water coolers on the course, these are intended to be backups. At this time I’m planning on having them at Hole 6, Hole 12 White Tee (blues and tips walk past this tee on 12), and Hole 14.

BONUS PRIZES

ROUND ONE PRIZE: If you have the Hot Round of your whole division (not your card, but the whole division) you will get a Hot Round mini. They are not much, only a mini, but the only way you can get one is by having the Hot Round, so it’s kind of cool.

ROUND TWO PRIZE: If you win your card, you win a prize from the white prize box that is called the Toy Box. Typical items are towels, sticker sheets, can coolers, license plate frames, etc.

IF YOU NEED TO WITHDRAW

If you decide for any reason that you don’t or can’t play the second round, please tell the TD onsite or text at 785-764-2229. This is crucial as it will affect others on how the second round is organized. If you do not notify us that you are withdrawing, it will be reported to the PDGA as an ‘888’.

ACE / CTP FUND


The option $2 ace fund for this event is per pool. If no aces are hit for your pool the money will be used for the year-end Championship.

AWARDS / PAYOUTS

To decrease the amount of congregation we will not have a formal awards ceremony. Trophies will be given out as soon as the clear winner is determined after the second round. PRO PAYOUTS can be either a check picked up at the course after round two is finished, a check picked up at the shop, a check mailed to you, or PayPal Goods and Services (winner pays fees) based on what you chose during registration. AM PAYOUTS are redeemable at Maverick Disc Golf in Olathe, KS. If you proactively request one, you can also redeem it at our webstore maverickdiscgolf.com. If you choose the webstore, it will charge you shipping. There is no additional payout for MA3 / FA3.

There is a First Place trophy for all divisions. The following divisions have additional trophies.
MA1 - 1st & 2nd
MA2 - 1st & 2nd
MA3 - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
