THANK YOU SPONSORS:
Huge thank you to Grip Equipment for their title sponsorship of this B-tier. Their support provided the means to have the added cash and great player pack with amateur payouts. I personally carry a Grip Bag and think you should too.
Would also like to thank the following for sponsoring tee signs:
The Tackett Family
Amberwell Health
Berger Company
Blish-Mize
L&L Construction
THANK YOU TO OUR VOLUNTEERS:
Thank you to Kevin Reiger, Brandon Tacket, and Damon Morgan for course preparation, basket placements and related items.
Thank you also to Brandon Tacket for running down the tee sign sponsors.
DIVISIONS / DATES:
Everyone is playing two rounds on Saturday, September 17th on a shotgun start and one round n Sunday, September 18th also on a shotgun start as we didn’t reach 90 total players. Round one hole assignments will be posted sometime Friday evening at the pdga event page.
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/55319
Round two shotgun start time and hole assignments and round three hole assignments will be posted at the same link.
>> As a reminder - you still need to check in with the Course Director from 8 - 8:35 Saturday morning.
LATE WITHDRAWAL / NO-SHOW
At this point, it is too late to receive a refund. However, if you notify me at 785-764-2229 prior to tee time, you will still receive your player pack for an Am.
To cancel, text or call your name and division, with comment you are canceling to 785-764-2229.
PARKING -
Both courses will have ample parking. Please do not park along the fairways for either course.
RESTROOMS
Jackson Park as flushing toilets, but admittedly they are a bit ‘spartan’. Warnock Lake has an outhouse directly across the street from Tournament Central and there is also a modern toilet at the campground which is near the teebox of Hole 10.
CHECK-IN
Check-in is from 8:15am - 8:55 am at Jackson Park. At Jackson, it is the stone shelter at the parking lot. All players, Pro and Am, need to check in for Round 1 and Round 3. If you don’t check in, I will presume you are a No Call, No Show and you may be scratched from the event. Round 3 check in will be at the shelter close to the playground and Holes 12 & 13. You are not required to check in for Round 2.
SCORING
We will be using the PDGA digital scoring system. (This is not Udisc). To access it, go to pdga.com/score. Enter in the password, then your last name or PDGA number, and the card will pull up. I will have paper scorecards as a backup. You can also use udisc as a backup. However, to submit the scores, it needs to be done through the PDGA scoring system.
Password: AA2022
CADDY BOOK
Hole lengths, pars, and OB rules are listed in the PDGA app while you are keeping score. You can also go to this link to find each course set up here:

COURSE CONDITIONS
In my opinion, Jackson Park is not cart friendly and Earhart DGC is somewhat cart friendly.
AMATEUR PLAYER PACKS
Ams will receive a tournament stamped Prodigy Disc and a Prodigy pole retriever
You can choose one disc from the following. It is first come, first serve.
The tournament discs are:
400 M2 - Stable midrange
400 Stryder - Stable midrange
400 H7 - Understable distance
400 Air D4 - Understable lightweight distance
400 D1 - Overstable distance
You can research the discs here:

WATER
While there will be water coolers on the course I fully expect they will go dry at some point. They will be refilled as soon as possible, but you need to be prepared to bring enough water for yourself. The water on the course is a back-up.
LUNCH BREAK / ROUND 2
We will have an approximately 1 hour lunch break after the last card is completed before starting round 2. Check this link after Round One to find your starting time and hole.

IF YOU NEED TO WITHDRAW
If you decide for any reason that you don’t or can’t play the second round, please tell Rob, the Tournament Director. This is crucial as it will affect others on how the second round is organized.
ACE / CTP FUND
There isn’t an ace fund for this event.
AWARDS / PAYOUTS
To decrease the amount of congregation we will not have a formal awards ceremony. I will give the award as soon as the clear winner is determined after the third round. PRO PAYOUTS can be either a check picked up the same day, a check mailed to you, or PayPal Goods and Services (winner pays fees) based on what you chose during registration. As declared prior to registration, this event is a “True Amateur” event meaning the value of the player pack exceeds the entry fee and amateur payouts will not occur.
https://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/205
However, for MA1, there will be a bonus AM payout to the top 20% (3 places at this point). This is only for the MA1 division. The payout will be for merchandise at Maverick’s Olathe store or online at maverickdiscgolf.com if you proactively request to do so.
TROPHIES
There is a First Place trophy for all divisions. There is also a Second and Third place trophy for Recreational
PDGA POSTING
My goal is to have the 'official' results posted to the PDGA by Monday evening.

I want to sincerely thank you for choosing to play in Maverick Disc Golf events, and particularly the Atchison Aviatrix. If you are a first timer, I hope you enjoy it!
