Wow!!! I don't even know where to begin here. What an absolute amazing turn out we had for the first sanctioned Motor City Chain Gang event of the year! We were hoping we might get 60 people, instead we had to open two more holes accommodating 87 players!!! Which is the largest turnout the club has ever had in the 11 years this tournament has been run. Way to go guys, that is seriously impressive.

I know we tried a new form of CTP this time by having each card win a prize, and like you we were knocking some rust off as most of you were as well. What were the thoughts on them whether it be good or bad. I think most of the players learned a valuable lesson today that PayPal is your friend, or paying in person, or mailing in your money so you are GUARANTEED a spot! With that being said, registration is live for next month's tournament which will again be a split day tournament.So I implore you to take advantage and register now as to avoid being on the cusp, and not being able to get in.

I would like to thank a few people that stepped up and made this tournament a success and to make it smooth to run. Big shout out to Mat Stivers, Brandon Redmond, Jay Benienda, Mike Moreno, Jason Riberas, Kevin Egnatoski and Jon for again doing a fabulous job on making the tee pads sparkle for us today! I would also like to thank Ken Mango, Brandon Redmond, Brent Moreno, Nick Cooke, B Man for helping with scorecards and of course Krystal for again being awesome and helping collect raffle tickets for the club, thanks again Krystal. If I am forgetting your name I do apologize, it is such a welcome help when people come up and step in or ask what need to be done. I want to thank all the players for not getting to upset about the shortened lunch break for some players, but because of that we were able to finish before dark which is impressive!

Scores are posted on here and on the PDGA website as well. I think we did pretty good as we were leaving Stony Creek just a little after 8pm. If there is something I missed, or didn't get a name right, or your score isn't linked send me a PM, with either your PDGA number, or your email address you use for your scene account.I hope you all had a great time out there, I know I did.

Layout has been shoveled and salted. Hold 8 is going to be iffy on the longs. But there was much salt put down and I will be checking on it Friday most likely. Big thanks the Mat Stivers for hooking us up with some powerful salt, and to Jay Benienda, Mike Moreno, Jason Riberas for being out there helping break up ice and carry 50lbs buckets around the course.
