Good evening,

I first and foremost want to thank every single one of you for participating in the Marais Des Cygnes Mayhem 2023 presented by Innova Discs. I will message the winner of their divisions tomorrow for addresses to mail your trophies to. Payout has now been updated and posted on the PDGA event page and DiscGolfScene. I have some updated information on actual payout compared to projected payout. We reduced the value we were claiming on player packs to raise the payout for all amateur divisions. There should be a large increase in payout numbers for everyone.

Secondly, I want to congratulate Cody Zirkle, Atlanta Krueger, Kyle Taylor, Kevin Rieger, Jasmine Youngquist, Jamin Swift, Brian Smith, Bennett Doemland, Kaylee Thomas, Dustin Heese, Levi Scheer, Jaxton Taylor, and James Alldritt on winning their respective divisions today! Good Shooting!

Congrats to Eric Eastwood and Canton Taylor on hitting aces today on Hole 6 at Forest Park!! They are splitting $450 between eachother.

Lastly, I want to state that I am a very new tournament director when it comes to running full size events and with anything, it does take time and trial to figure out everything and iron out the bumps and issues. I have only run 5 tournaments for our club with 3 being flex starts and it has been a journey and learning experience. But one thing I try to stress is that I will always do what is best for the players and for our sport. There were some concerns about certain aspects of the tournament, and I do want to hear feedback whether it is positive or negative as that is how I am able to improve our tournaments.

We will be making a ton of changes next year and will continue to work on improving our event. With that, I have had some negative feedback filed with the PDGA about the event today. With negative feedback on the tournament, it can cause issues where I will not be able to run or host larger tiered events. So, if you did have a positive experience today at the event, please let them know that! It can be found in the top right of the PDGA event page. The Kanza Disc Golf Club and I have some large plans to make this tournament grow exponentially in the next upcoming two years.

I do want to state any revenue earned today goes to the club entirely to continue to take care of our courses. I took away the TD fee for this tournament so that also boosted payout. Like I said I will do everything in my power to host the best tournaments I can.

I first want to thank everyone for coming out and I need to give a thank you to our two course sponsors Flight Plan Disc Golf and Ottawa Bike & Trail. I also need to thank the volunteers of the Kanza Disc Golf Club for making these courses look as good as they do for you all today.

I also want to do a little self-promotion here and state if you have not voted yet you had emails from the PDGA to vote for next year's state representatives. I am running for the position of Kansas State Coordinator and assist TDs around the state continue to put on fantastic events. Please consider voting for me.
