Fun(and chilly) times were had at the MVP Space Race at UWF last night. Over 50 participants braved the cold to hunt down some metal, chains, and aces.

Winners:

1st - Chase Durbin (2 aces - 10 points) - 6 disc prize
2nd/3rd tie - Malachi Hoffman and Robert Hastings (1 ace - 6 points) - 3 disc prize each

Special mention to Sindre for carding the 4th and final ace with 5 points.

We will be set up at the Bike Shop, Lot I. The red arrow points to that lot on the map below. **The picture is a random layout from UDisc. These are not the hole positions.

Hole 1 will start by the bike shop, and hole 10 will end near the tennis courts. You will play this loop 2 times to complete your round.

You must play with the discs you receive, and, you have 2 throws per hole to try to get an ace or metal. You are not scored in relation to par, so there is no need to play the holes. You are trying to get aces or metals.

I have some signage going up on each hole that will also tell you what basket to throw too. Most temp tee locations are in the fairway of the hole, so look there for the white sign. You may tee off to the right, left, or behind the sign but try not to cross the plane of the sign.

The added hole is in the field. You will play the sign “Hole 5” to the yellow basket. Hole 6 tee is on the top of the hill near the building. You will throw from there down to the blue basket. Please take the stairs if it is dark or if you do not feel like you can walk up the hill.

A few important points for tomorrow!

I hope to be set up and ready for check in by 3:30. You can check in and pick u your pack at any time after this.

We will have signage out at each teepad, including which basket is being played. We'll have 10 holes in play so you will play 20 total holes.

As a reminder, scoring is as follows. We will be using paper scorecards and you will record the points per hole by each player.

2 Throws per hole
-Metal Hit - 1 point
-Chain Hit - 3 pints
-Ace - 5 points

If we do not have a full tee time, we may need to combine 2 times. So make sure to show up early just in case.

The course is pretty well lit, but we will have baskets lit up and will have some glow flashlights and Hive Vinyl for sale if you need it.

We will award disc prizes to the top 3 points winners. We will have these available for pickup at Flight Factory and will announce the winners on Saturday night.
