I have had some questions about this event come up.
1. This event is for anyone who is brave enough to try a new sport and it is for those that already have tried this sport.
2. The MSRP price for the players pack is valued at over $60 (That means you can get this for less than 50% of the MSRP cost) and you get the 3 discs and towel to keep just for being in the event.
3. You do not need to buy anything to play, everything you need comes in the players pack. All you need to do is sign up for the event and come to play.
4. I am more than willing to help new players learn the game. And I think that you will find that many disc golfers are willing to help new players.
5. No, you do not have to be young to play this sport. I consider this to be a life time sport. It can be played by all different ages and all different skill levels. Some play this sport for money, some play it just for fun and exercise, some play to hang out with friends, and others play it while walking their dog in the park.
6. Yes, these are good quality discs. I personally really like the discs that I have purchased from MVP. (MVP is a company that makes disc golf discs)(TaylorMade, Callaway, Titleist, make ball golf stuff and MVP makes disc golf stuff).
7. The game is played similar to golf where you are trying to make it to the hole (basket) in the least amount of strokes.
8. Yes the baskets with chains are for disc golf. They are the hole or basket that you want to get you disc in.
9. No, the baskets are not stations for connecting your dog leash to so that your dog stays put and no they are not so that you can put a water bottle in them for your dog to drink out of. However that might work for you but that is not the intended purpose of the disc golf basket. O-remember discs come flying through the air, so watch out for flying discs especially if you are hanging out near a basket.
