Tournament Details
The MVP Circuit Challenge 2023 is a 1-round of 18 holes, unsanctioned tournament using ONLY the three discs that come in the player's pack, put on by the Columbus Indiana Disc Golf Club with support from Columbus Indiana Park and Rec. The event will occur on Saturday, August 5th and will provide a great introduction to the disc golf tournament experience for newer players, but at the same time provide a fun and competitive event for experienced players as well. This will be possible through 2 sets of tees: a Red short tees layout and a Blue long tees layout.
The official method for keeping your score and submitting it to the tournament director will be through the UDisc app. If you haven’t done this before, ask us at the welcome tent for help or have a cardmate to do it. Please target groups of 4 for play to maximize efficiency and use of the limited space. If you can’t form a group of 4, show up and the TD and supporting club officials will assist.
There is no awards ceremony. Standings, and results will be posted real-time on the UDisc event page via the Leaderboard feature.
There will be multiple CTP prizes and some drawings.
The Tournament Director for the event is Brian Jones. 812-344-3769

⚠ Be aware: you are in a mixed use city park where pedestrians and children will likely be present. Please set a good example for the city and show that disc golf can be safely integrated into Donner Park. If you throw an errant shot towards anyone, please yell as loudly as possible FORE!!! well in advance giving the person in danger plenty of warning. Use common sense and be patient and friendly with non-disc golfers. The last thing we want is for someone to get hurt or complain to the city and thus hurt chances of making a permanent course happen. Please also put your litter in trash containers around the course including cigarette butts.
Where not described here PDGA rules apply. Call TD for any needed clarifications. Play a provisional shot if there is disagreement about a rules call. There is no 2 meter rule penalty in play - take your lie directly below your disc in those situations. TD will have final say in rules determinations.
Last, thank you all for coming! We hope you have a great time and want to come back. The Columbus Indiana Disc Golf Club was founded in 2021 - be sure to check out our FaceBook page for upcoming events.
