Welcome to the 2021 Lewis & Clark Open! Thank you for being a part of this year’s event. We will be covering some important topics about this weekend in this update, so please take a few minutes to read through it.
Both Gavins Point and Pierson Ranch are State Parks. You will need to purchase the daily $8 entrance fee or purchase the annual pass ($36). The State will be out this weekend checking vehicles for entrance permits. Use the automated machines next to the check-in booths upon park entry.
Saturday, July 17th:
Check-in will take place from 7:30-9:00 AM at Pierson Ranch Rec Area. Tournament Central is located at PSH-2, which is the large picnic shelter in between holes 12, 13 and 17. This is a change from years past. While we love Gavins, there is much more parking at the new location and is more centralized for everyone. Follow the signs once you enter the park.
Amateur player packs will be available during check in.
The first 75 registered amateur players will receive a disc. Additionally, the first 40 registered amateur players will receive a Dynamic Discs stainless steel canteen water bottle.
We will hold an in-person players meeting from 9:00-9:15 AM at tournament central. From there, you will have 45 minutes to get to your course/designated starting hole. We will post hole assignments this evening on Facebook, Discgolfscene and Email. We will also have caddybooks available for every player at tournament central during registration (and throughout the weekend). The caddybook will also be posted on Facebook and Discgolfscene. It will contain course descriptions and maps of both Gavins and Pierson Ranch.

Player games will begin around 7:00 PM and will last until roughly 8:30. We will be putting for disc prizes and free beer/drinks. All ages are welcome, must be 21+ to drink alcohol. Bring a putter or two if you’d like to participate!
If you’d like to check out another great brewery before or after heading to the player party, Backspace Brewing Co. is located at 200 Walnut St, Suite 103 (in Yankton). They have provided a sweet coupon card in Am’s player packs this year. Let’s show them some love!
