Show your support for a disc golf course in Leavenworth, Washington! The Leavenworth Disc Golf Club is joining forces with the Leavenworth Golf Club to host the FIRST LEAVENWORTH DISC GOLF SPRING OPEN TOURNAMENT on Saturday, April 13, 2019 on the front 9 of their beautiful 18-hole traditional golf course set along the Wenatchee River in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. Players will compete for the lowest combined scored from 2 rounds for cash and other prizes.

This tournament will provide the first opportunity for disc golf players to throw plastic on this stunning 80-acre piece of property and is an effort to show the Leavenworth Golf Club that disc golf can successfully coincide with traditional golf as is being shown on other courses across the country. A portion of the registration fees will go to the Leavenworth Golf Course, with the remainder going to the cash payouts for each division (money from each division stays in that division).

We’ll be playing on 18 Innova baskets provided by Stevens Pass Mountain Resort and Icicle Village Resort is providing discounted rooms on Fri and Sat nights, and they’re hosting the pre-event gathering with food & drink specials at the Icicle Junction Activities Center on Friday evening.

The event is also supported by the newly formed Central Washington Disc Golf Alliance based out of Wenatchee, WA which is focused on promoting disc golf, organizing events and players, and bringing more courses to the area.

Men's Advanced - $30 ($15 to LGC, $15 to payout)
Men's Rec - $30 ($15 to LGC, $15 to payout)
Women's Open - $40 ($15 to LGC, $25 to payout)

FRIDAY PRACTICE ROUNDS: The disc golf course will be set up and available for play on Friday afternoon April 12th for $10/person. Pay at the Pro-Shop in the club house.

FRIDAY EVENING SOCIAL AT ICICLE VILLAGE RESORT: The Icicle Junction Activities Center at Icicle Village Resort will host a pre-event gathering on the evening of Friday, April 12th with food and drink specials. Join players for some social time to meet and greet each other before the competition on Saturday. There will be baskets setup to practice putting. Icicle Junction offers food, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, arcade games, foosball, shuffleboard, a big screen projection TV, and nice lounge area.

SUNDAY DOUBLES MATCH: Choose your partner for 1 round of 18 in a doubles match on Sunday April 14th for $30/team, with $20 of that going to the Leavenworth Golf Course and $10 going towards the 1st place team payout. Register at the Pro-Shop at Leavenworth Golf Course on Sunday from 9am - 10am. Match starts at 11am.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS: Icicle Village Resort, located less than 1 mile from the course, is setting aside a block of rooms for players on Friday and Saturday nights. If you know Leavenworth, you know it can sometimes be difficult to find lodging despite the number of options in this popular tourist town. Icicle Village Resort is offering Standard Double Queen or Single King rooms on the first floor at a discounted weekend rate of $179/night plus tax (normal rate is $229/night so that’s $50 off!). The resort offers a complimentary (and big) hot breakfast buffet, indoor pool and hot tub, JJ Hills Fresh Grill (restaurant and bar), and even the Alpine Spa if you feel like a massage before or after (separate reservations required). Players should call Icicle Village Resort at 800-961-0162 and mention the disc golf tournament to make reservations at this discounted rate. Additionally, if you feel like extending your stay in Leavenworth, they’re offering this rate to players for a couple days before and after the event too.
