Hello YEETers,
First and foremost: the weather. Youth is swampy and because of the continued rain, it probably won't drain much. Unfortunately, because of the timeline the city has for the park, we do not have the option for a backup date. It is this weekend, or never. That being said, the rain chances for Friday and Saturday have dropped to 24% on Friday and 40% for Saturday afternoon so I am hopeful that it won't get too much worse. We will be out early on Saturday to walk the course and will make adjustments based on conditions if needed. We are optimistic we will be able to play all 18, but there is a possibility of a shortened layout. Please come prepared with whatever you need for your round (i.e...water, snacks, extra shoes, towels, umbrella, etc…). If the weather is bad and lightning is present, we will be delaying any tees/ play of the round. (3 blasts of a horn as well as messaging through the PDGA Live Scoring). In the event of lightning delay, mark your lie and find shelter. Once the lightning has cleared, we will resume play.
Check in at Tournament Central before starting your round. Most tee times available have players so please check in early and be prepared to begin your round at your specific tee time. No groups less than 3 or more than 5 will be allowed to play. If someone does not show up for your group leaving 1 or 2 players, we will do our best to find someone or a different group for you to play with around the same time. Additionally, you can check on the registration page (
https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournaments/Last_YEET_at_YOUTH_2024/registration) to see what tee times and groups are available to play with beforehand if you are a solo/ two person card right now. PLEASE MAKE ADJUSTMENTS TO YOUR TEE TIME IF NEEDED. If you are not going to be attending, let us know sooner than later as groups may be impacted.
Scoring will be done with PDGA Live scoring. PDGA Live Scoring will be the Official Scoring method. All players must keep score per PDGA rules. Paper Scorecards will be available for any player that wants one. Everyone is responsible for checking and verifying their own score.

All MA/ MP divisions will be playing the normal Youth Park layout. FA/ FP divisions will be playing a modified layout on Hole 1 and the short pad on Hole 2. In the pond, creek on 17/18 and over any fence is OB. Follow the normal OB rule of play. The lake and the creek are higher than normal. OB will be defined by the water line at time of play. Puddles and standing water that is not typical to the course will be played as casual.
The Tee Signs have all been removed so if you are unfamiliar with the course, please pick up a course map when you check in. We do have small tee markers that denote hole and distance but do not have hole maps on them.
Ace fund is currently at $380. If no aces are hit, 50% of the ace fund will go towards The Florida Hummingbird, 50% will be given out via random drawing.
There will not be a payout or trophy but we do have a small player pack for all AMs. Pros will receive payout after the conclusion of the tournament.
As always, we appreciate your support and hope that everyone leaves with some sort of great memory of Youth Park. It's going to be interesting
See you Saturday
