THANK YOU:
Thank you to Mark Schmitz and Phillip Zemler for their numerous hours put into maintaining and improving this disc golf course.
DIVISIONS / DATES:
This is a flex start meaning you must tee off between 8:30 am and 1:00 pm. You can either bring a group to play with or we will pair you up with others to play with. Mixed cards of divisions and even layouts is permissible.
RESTROOMS
There is a portable toilet at Hole 1 and Hole 8.
PRACTICE AREA
The practice area is fairly limited. There is a practice basket and a small area to throw putters and maybe midranges.
CHECK-IN
Check-in will be under an orange canopy near Hole 1.
SCORING
Every player is required to keep score for every person on their card. We will be using the PDGA digital scoring system. (This is not Udisc). To access it, go to pdga.com/score. Enter in the password, then your last name or PDGA number. Since this is a flex start you’ll then need to add the players that you will be playing with. We can help you navigate the scoring system if this is new to you. It really is not very hard to use.
Password: baskets
CADDY BOOK
Hole lengths, pars, and OB rules are listed in the PDGA app while you are keeping score. They should match the tee signs at each tee. If they do not match, the PDGA app is the official document.
PLEASE BE AWARE of the mandatory left on Hole 3. We anticipate the park will be busy for the holiday weekend. Do not throw until you are certain it is safe to do so. Thank you!
COURSE CONDITIONS
Lakeside Hills is fairly hilly. I personally won’t push a cart but some do.
AMATEUR PLAYER PACKS
Recreational / Novice / Junior divisions (F/MA3, F/MA4, JRS) will receive a disc. We will have discs from several manufacturers ranging from putters to distance drivers. The majority of them will have old stamps from previous tournaments. If you are uncertain what the disc will fly like we can provide some recommendations.
All other divisions do not have a player pack. Pros will pay money payouts, Ams will pay merchandise vouchers at Maverick Disc Golf.
WATER
You need to bring enough water for yourself for the whole round. While there will be water coolers on the course, these are intended to be backups. At this time I’m planning on having them at Hole 5, Tournament Central (between Hole 8 & 9) and Hole 15 or 16.
ACE / CTP FUND
There is a cash ace fund for this event. If multiple aces are hit, it will be split between those that aced. If no aces are hit the ace fund will be donated to the course.
AWARDS / PAYOUTS
I will have blue First Place ribbons for divisions of at least 3 players. They will be available to be picked up at Maverick’s shop starting on Monday.
PDGA POSTING
My goal is to have the 'official' results posted to the PDGA by Sunday evening.
THANK YOU
I want to sincerely thank you for choosing to play in Maverick Disc Golf events, and particularly this fundraiser so that we can purchase new baskets for Lakeside Hills. If you are a first timer at a Maverick event, I hope you enjoy it!
