Welcome Letter and Tee Times
Welcome and congratulations to all you players! It is time for the Lake Padden Pilot Tournament!
The WDGC, Premier golf, Lake Padden Golf Course, and the City of Bellingham are all excited to play a part in hosting this event.
As you all know, this is a trial pilot tournament. This event was created to help explore and evaluate the overall potential for a course in some controlled capacity on this beautiful property. It is an exciting time, just know you are representing the greater disc golf community and we appreciate you!
Remember to
-respect all other golfers on the course
-display your best course etiquette at all times
-try to wear a nice collared shirt if you have one
-don’t wear heavy hiking boots, and if you do have thick treaded shoes of any capacity DO NOT walk on the greens with them.
Also carts will strictly be kept on the cart path due to recent rains so there will be a few holes you have to park and walk. On 15/16 in particular make sure to bring you bag up to the green on 15 and tee on 16.
We look forward to running the event on Sunday and look forward to hearing everyone’s feedback after. We’d like to hear all the positives, negatives, suggestions, comments, etc...
There will be the usual food and beverages served on property at the Coyote Grill so plan to fuel up before the round and/or especially kick back after the round and grab a beer or two with some food. Players awards will be after the last group comes in.
Please check in 20 minutes before your tee time to ensure smooth start times and even spacing on the course. If your partner or parent wants to join you, they have to sign a liability waiver available at check in. Spectators will be walking. Other spectators not allowed on the course at this time.
*Practice - Sorry no course practice but there will be a putt and approach warm up area with two baskets off the parking lot by the driving range. And a net to throw drives into near hole one. So come early and warm up. There is also a large field just down the park road from the junction to the golf course if you wanted to throw some big shots to warm up in a field.
Thank you!
