Thanks for choosing to play the 2026 Lake Marshall Open.
I would like to thank Gary Hutt, Trey Hamlet, Cory Lucas, Andrew Radford, Ash Benefeld, and the entire Lake Marshall family for allowing us this wonderful venue for disc golf. A ton of work has gone into these courses over the last month.
Check in will begin at 8:20 each day. Please check in a minimum of 15 minutes prior to your tee time. ALL PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN EACH DAY.
All check in will be by the parking lot on the Lair side of the course. (Lions rounds will be beginning on Hole 13.) Address is 3409 Neenah Rd Montross VA. Parking will be in the normal area for Lair (expanded a bit). Only vehicles belonging to people camping will be allowed past the top of the hill.
Tee times are posted and will be changed for emergency only.
Paper cards available on request.
Best way to reach me down there is text to (540)-661-6685. Signal is spotty so don’t expect an answer immediately. If you have an on course question play a provisional and address it following the round. Also please text me if you find any of the water jugs empty.
If you wish to camp contact Cory at (804)-724-3790. Unfortunately Westmoreland County is currently under a burn ban due to drought conditions so there will be no open fires permitted.
Due to a scheduling snafu there will not be a food truck on site. I recommend Fisher’s and Angelo’s in Montross, Coles Point Tavern, and Hunan Village in Warsaw for what that is worth.
Gatekeeper Media will be filming MPO top card for next day release.
There have been some minor course changes:
Lair:
Hole 1- OB has been moved slightly tighter in some places to avoid steep slope leading to the lake.
Hole 18- Former Relief Area (marked by yellow stakes) is now OB. Drop Zone is on the basket side.
Lions:
Lions rounds will begin on Hole 13 and end on Hole 12 (duh).
Hole 7- new Red Tee about 30 ft behind the old one.
Hole 16- will be played to short pin
Hole 18- Drop Zone has been added for OB tee shots.
Layouts:
MPO- Lions Blue, Lair Long, Lions Blue
MP40 and MP50 – Lair Long, Lions Yellow, Lair Long
FPO, FP40 and MP60- Lair Short, Lions Yellow (Holes 7 and 12 from Red tee, 8 to blue basket), Lair Short
Lair Holes with Short Tees: 7,9,11,14,15,16,18
Playoff loops if needed:
Lions 13, 15, 16, 17, 12
Lair 1,2,3,18
If there are discrepancies between Live Scoring and other info (should not be but stranger things have happened) then Live Scoring is the default.
