For one special day-August 21 2017, and not again for roughly 375 years, Oggwood will find itself directly in the path of a total solar eclipse. Obviously, we will celebrate this momentous occasion by playing Disc Golf!
For the last 2-3 years, the Dawson/Buckner clan has welcomed us into their home, made memories with us, and given greatly of themselves to provide us with a signature disc golf facility beyond compare, and never asked for anything in return. And for the last year or more, they've maintained the property without a fully functioning mower. This is an opportunity to give back a fraction of what they've given to us, so all proceeds from LIGHTS OUT! will go to the purchase of a new lawnmower for Oggwood.
Entry will be $25 for all divisions, with an optional $2 Ace Pool and $3 CTP. All registered players will receive a commemorative mini. The event will consist of one round of singles with First Place trophies for all divisions in play, followed by an eclipse viewing party. Approved viewing glasses have been provided by Mack Farmer. Following maximum eclipse, everyone is invited to join us for one round of Voo-Doo Doubles hosted by ALPO Disc Golf. Entry for Dubs will be $40-Pro Team, and $20-Am Team, and there will be payout. Any player not registered for LIGHTS OUT! will be asked to provide an additional $5 donation toward the purchase of the mower.
