Karen they absolutely were being offered. We are currently at a point where we only have openings on partial cards. We ended up with no female participation because of Women's Slosh event on the same weekend. I'm really sorry that it filled this way but please know we absolutely look forward to having larger female divisions at our future events, and it will always be offered!

My thoughts on this. I haven't been able to find a good scene for junior disc golf. Most tournaments aren't catered to have juniors. And those that do have a junior division you get very few signed up to play and they will just get mixed in to play against the adults due to numbers. I would like to see more tournaments that focus on the juniors. The tournament I did with my young daughter was one at a smaller course where it was flex time and you chose your own card. So we played with another dad and his daughter and had a fun time for their first tournament. My son would sign up for the junior division but since there weren't many others usually signed up he would just play with adults at the MA2 level. So there is full competition there. He has had both good and bad experiences depending on who was on his card. Unfortunately he has been with some card mates who were not very junior friendly and made if a bad experience. So it is kind of a roll of the dice. So unfortunately there isn't much of a junior division scene that I seen so far. I have done small local tournaments with other friends to help create a fun, low pressure junior tournament but those were mostly amongst friends and weren't public. You can always follow your daughter on the course. I did do one junior national tournament with my son when he was 14 and had a lot of fun. There was a parent, grandparent or sibling with each of the kids. So it would be really cool to see more of this at the local level.

Morgan, players in <= 12 bracket, or under 13 years old must be accompanied by a parent during tournaments. A lot of times tournaments don't get a full card of juniors, so your daughter would likely be on a card with the closest division playing the same layout as her, likely this would be the FA3 or FA2 groups. Kuhl Discs encourages everyone to participate that wants to!
