It's officially KCFDC week!
Today: Baskets at Woodhenge, Black Thorn, and LaBenite don't move, so they are always in tournament position.
Water Works baskets are in tournament position, and a layout is on uDisc. I do not have a key to the orange basket (hole 17), but hopefully the orange basket will be gone and the Mach X moved soon.
Thursday: virtual player meeting. All painting (see below) and mandatories will be marked.
Friday: Duck's Flying Discs - Kansas City flexer at Water Works from 11 to 5.
Early player pack pick up at Duck's from 11 to 6.
Boulevard Swap n Shop and putting competition at Water Works, 4 to 7:30.
Round One hole assignments posted to the PDGA site at 7:30.
Courses will be painted and Mando signs will go up by Thursday. People seem to hate mandatory signs and several have been stolen, so it will be a last minute thing.
Neither Smithville course has a Mando. LaBenite has one (hole 12). Water Works has several (2, 8 - double, 13, 17).
Each course will have some painted OB. The paint and rules will be slightly different than the flex starts earlier in the year.
Woodhenge - hole 11 (either side of gravel road), hole 15 (tall grass to left, Woodhenge and left). Hole 15 sidewalk will be safe.
Black Thorn - hole 18 on the left side of the fairway. The walking path and right will play as a HAZARD. Hole 10 at Black Thorn - the ONLY OB will be surrounded by water.
LaBenite - hole 2 will be surrounded by a painted line. Paint will outline the walking paths (in part). I'll define the OB area around hole 18. The old metal structure will play as a HAZARD.
Water Works - painted lines will be on hole 5 (left), hole 8 (from one Mando tree down the hill to edge of c2 and back up to other Mando), and hole 13 right. Some additional paint will be used to define other OB areas.
