First Calvary: Near hole 1 with Hayden. Check in by 8:20.
There will be no round 2 players meetings. Tee times and hole assignments for round 2 will be posted to the PDGA page following the completion of round 1. Please be aware that different pools will have different round 2 starting times. There will be no final awards ceremony (no trophies).
Players' packs for all amateur divisions are $20 in credit to Kaposia Pro Shop. The credit will be available on your account (just give them your phone number) by Saturday and you may redeem any time at your convenience.
PDGA scoring will be used as our official scoring method. Two players on each card will need to log in to
http://www.pdga.com/score to run the digital scorecard. The access code is “fling”.
Dual PDGA scoring will help prevent any scoring errors and will alert you if there is a discrepancy between scorecards. Reminder, there are penalty strokes issued if your score is mis-reported, and PDGA scoring can flag/prevent these errors. Spectators may follow along at
http://www.pdga.com/live
Kaposia divisions will play 1 round KP Red, and 1 round KP Blue layouts. There will be a sign on every tee pad with the correct tee number and course color. First Calvary divisions will play 2 rounds of either “normal” or “purple” layouts. Please review the Caddy Book to see hole-by-hole instructions. Please see DGScene for course/layout assignments.
The Caddy Books are here:
Kaposia Red 18:
https://www.kpleagues.com/caddybook.php?id=201
Kaposia Blue 18:
https://www.kpleagues.com/caddybook.php?id=202
First Calvary Baptist 20:
https://kpleagues.com/caddybook.php?id=138
First Calvary Baptist Purple 20:
https://kpleagues.com/caddybook.php?id=136
If you are on the FCB “Purple” layout - you will be playing the purple tee-boards, twice around.
The Caddy Books contain general O.B., hole distances, pars, and notes. Please familiarize yourself with the layout. Remember, the sidewalk, road, parking lot, and curb are out of bounds. The Caddy Books are viewable on the links above, or from the tournaments page on
www.KPLeagues.com/tournaments
The stream (KP) in the gorge, and any other puddles or streams play as “Casual O.B.”. To obtain relief from a casual area, the player's lie may be relocated to the nearest lie which is farther from the target and is on the line of play, at the nearest point that provides relief. The pond on Scanny Skip/Kap-O-See-Ya is also O.B..For your disc to be O.B., it must be completely surrounded by O.B.. Please see casual relief rules here:
https://www.pdga.com/rules/official-rules-disc-golf/80603
And here is a great article from UDisc which explains relief well and provides some examples:
https://udisc.com/blog/post/disc-golf-rules-explained-relief
If there is a disagreement on your card related to the correct lie to play, or any other rules, and I am not available for clarification, please play a provisional shot and we can resolve the disagreement after the round. Do not submit the PDGA digital scorecard until you have spoken with me and determined the correct outcome. Please see “Provisional Throw”
https://www.pdga.com/rules/official-rules-disc-golf/80902
Caddies and spectators are allowed, but I want to remind everyone that they must follow all PDGA rules. Everyone should also review and understand what qualifies as “Player Misconduct”
https://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/303
If there is a tie in first place of any division, there will be a playoff immediately after the round. Playoff will be sudden death. Playoff sequence for the Kaposia Pools is “normal” hole 1,2,3,2,3,2,3… Playoff FCB pool will begin on hole 1, and play the same layout as your division played in the tournament.
Results and payouts will be posted to DGScene following the event. Your payouts will be available at your convenience at the Kaposia Pro Shop (just give them your phone #). If you are from out of town, and need to redeem your payouts immediately, that will be no problem. Pro payouts will be sent via venmo. Please let me know if you are playing Pro Open and you do not have venmo.
$5 and $10 ace pools are for KP only. If you paid in - but are at a non-Kaposia division, please let me know and i can refund your ace pool entries. If you did not buy in - and you want to, please head over to DiscGolfScene and buy in BEFORE the event. Ace pays out 80% on any ace pool you paid into. 20% rolls into the next event. If no aces, 100% rolls into the next event.
