Due to an anonymous donor, an additional $350 will be added to the FPO division in the Ironwood Open and I can guarantee that the winner will walk away with a paycheck greater than $450!!! If you're on the fence about playing with the big girls, hop in and give it a shot while the winnings are large. I'll be holding 16 spots until two weeks prior to the event at which time I'll be filling those spots with other divisions. Don't wait and miss out!

Due to PDGA requirements, I had to break out the two days into two separate tournaments; therefore, this is now the page for the Sunday pool (MPO, FPO, MP40, & MA1). For the other pool, please see the following link: http://dgscene.com/Ironwood_Open_2021_Saturday

All payouts should be completed through PayPal. Let me know if you didn't receive yours. Thanks again to all who attended!
When refunds be issues for players that didn't make it in from the waitlist?
All waitlisters should have their refund now. Sorry for the delay.

Everyone should have received the Player's Meeting in their email just now. It contains all of the information for the event in leu of an on-site player's meeting. Therefore, after check-in, you can just go to your hole and warm up. See yinz Sunday!

What are the chances of getting in off the WL for MPO. Coming into town for the weekend and will bring my gear if I have a shot. Thanks

Hi everyone!
My boyfriend and I were at Moraine Saturday practicing for Ironwood. After a long two rounds, we think we left behind a pair of blue asics, size 9.5. In the parking lot by home 18 basket/1 tee. Did anyone happen to see them or grab them? Dumb mistakes were made while hungry and tired.
Please let us know if you picked them up or have any idea if there is a lost and found or anything like that!

If you are on the waitlist and are still able to attend in case enough spots open up, you shouldn't withdraw. Anyone who does not make it in will be refunded their entry fee Sunday night. If you won't be able to make it if you are promoted, you should request a refund though.

Most of the pins are set for the Ironwood Open:
1 - A (not set)
2 - A
3 - B
4 - A
5 - B
6 - C
7 - B
8 - C
9 - B
10 - C
11 - B
12 - C
13 - B
14 - A
15 - C (not set)
16 - A (not set)
17 - C
18 - Temp basket (not set. C-pin as backup)
Moved 16 to the tournament pin yesterday. Waiting until the last minute to move hole 1 over to let the grass grow so it isn't a complete mud pit. The grass didn't get mowed over by 15 C-pin, so trying to get the park to mow that before the tournament. If it doesn't get mowed, it will stay in A-pin. Plan to have 18 in the temp position for most of the day Friday.

are the pin positions set for the event?

Hey guys I’m flying in from Florida early Friday morning for the tournament. I was wondering if there was any leagues or doubles going on in the area I could get into? Thanks I’m advanced for all your help and can’t wait to compete with you all in a couple weeks.
There is a Friday league at North Boundary on Fridays as well as a weekly flex start league at Schenley that you could play on Friday. https://www.discgolfscene.com/leagues/NoBo_Friday_Flex_Starts_2021_Session_1 https://www.discgolfscene.com/leagues/Schenley_Park_Wednesday_Night_Disc_Golf_League_2021

Matt, if the FPO does not fill, will you open spots up in the other divisons? I am not familiar with how that all works. I am just making plans ahead of time in the event I get in. Thank you sir.
Unfortunately the 4th person on the MA1 waitlist signed up 1 minute after registration opened and the 4th person on the MPO waitlist signed up 2 minutes after registration opened. If there were 4 people on the MP40 waitlist, I would be more inclined to open spots for MP40, but with Talmadge registe ... more

I have added 4 spots to each the Open and Advanced divisions and will utilize two ghost cards at Moraine as we traditionally do. I have also processed all refunds requests and dropped the cap on the waitlist down to 10 so that it doesn't get out of hand.
Brandon oleskie April 10, 2021 at 1:03am
Can I get a refund please.
Steve Duros April 9, 2021 at 1:40pm
Do you have to pay to get on the waitlist?
Yes, but you will be refunded (minus DGScene and PayPal fees) if you do not get in.
Jason Telford April 7, 2021 at 11:35pm
Wow, that filled up in seconds. Think any spots will be added?
Matt Rosier April 7, 2021 at 9:56pm
Open registration goes live at 7pm tonight. Make sure you are already signed into PayPal and have the registration completely filled out. The PDGA doesn't have any other method other than first come, first serve for registration, so I am deeply sorry to everyone that misses out on this. I am going to set the waitlist limit at 20 people per division so that there aren't too many people paying full price without any chance at all to get in. Good luck!
Matt Rosier March 31, 2021 at 7:39pm
A reminder that registration opens tonight for hole sponsors. You will need to select that you are interested in sponsoring a hole for $20 when signing up through DGScene. There are only 18 available, so don't wait.

Each amateur at the Ironwood Open will receive a Snailax Handheld Back Massager as part of their player packs! A huge thanks to Snailax for providing these for each of the players!
Registration opens for the event on Wednesday at 7pm for hole sponsors (18 available each day) and will need to be signed up for on DGScene during checkout. Open registration will occur one week later, on April 7th at 7pm. It will once again be free-for-all, so be sure to have the date and time saved!
Matt Rosier February 22, 2021 at 10:39pm
I've been getting a lot of questions on the hole sponsorship. Registration will open for hole sponsors on March 31st at 7pm. This will be a free-for-all registration with a cap of 18 hole sponsors. In order to register at this time, you will need to select the hole sponsorship option which will ad a $20 charge to your registration. I have uploaded a preview of the registration to the picture section here for reference. https://m.discgolfscene.com/media/21390/069d79c8d1cc.jpg
