There are a couple notes I want everyone to be aware of in case you didn’t see any of the social media posts this week.
The schedule has changed a little bit since the turnout wasn’t what I expected, plus the cancellation of the extra fun events. So now we are doing check-in from 9am- 9:30a. Mandatory Players meeting at 9:30a and shotgun start at 10a. Lunch is an hour this year, starting when the last card finishes their round.
The mini disc golf and putting competitions have been cancelled because nobody signed up for them.
Instead there will be a raffle benefiting E.D.G.E. at the awards ceremony. tickets are $5/1, $10/2, $20/6 and can be purchased online or on-site until the very minute the raffle starts. Items include some sweet and valuable discs, and a very rare old Colorado company Red Feather DG deluxe backpack bag. HOWEVER, there are only a couple tickets sold currently. So the backpack bag won’t be raffled off until we raise more money for charity. Please buy your tickets on DG Scene today as I’ve extended the registration close time until this evening for this purpose.
The course map is updated and available for download on DG Scene and the website. I will also have printed copies and will be sending out a copy with every group because it also has the course notes printed on the back. I’ve also attached it to this email.
Note on PDGA live scoring. If you haven’t used this yet I have videos on the website to help you. I will have paper scorecards as requested by some, but will prefer using the PDGA Live. But this also means your family and friends can follow along from anywhere in the world by going to PDGA.com/live, or clicking on that link from the 5th Inside The Chains PDGA event page. Also, work on making sure everything is in sync with all players in the app when you are walking back to your car or tournament central after your rounds. Then wait to hit the complete round button until you reach tournament central, to maximize your lunch time.
If you are unaware, you can always change your DG Scene registration before it closes. Just make sure you are logged into the DG Scene website first, then go to the Registered Players page and you’ll see a button to Edit your own registration. I’ve also attached a helper image just in case.
Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. See you tomorrow morning!
