Good afternoon. We are excited that tomorrow is our Crossover In-The-Pin-Dence Day 8 BYOP. Let's dive in to some particulars.
This is a 1 round event playing the BLUE layout. This is our longest layout. The ACE fund and CTP's, payouts to top 40% are all included. We hope everyone has as much fun with this event as we do.
After the round, we will sort through scores, and the top 5 teams will be invited to play the bonus round of the PURPLE layout, where the winning team nets $150. If one of the teams that qualifies declines playing the bonus round, the spot will not be filled.
Here are the course particulars for the BLUE layout. We will have this printed out. It looks intimidating, but it is more wordy than it actually is. When here, you will see that it's not that bad.
Hole 1 - There is an Island of bricks around the basket. All shots off the tee that are outside of the bricks are OB. If both players miss, proceed to the marked drop zone with pink bricks with a penalty stroke. All shots outside of the island from there are OB and marked 1 meter in from where they went out. Both partners would have to throw out of bounds for that to happen. The bricks are OUT, so you must be touching inside of them.
Hole 2 - OB left side marked with orange stakes, and parking lot long marked with white rope. There is a mando. If missed there is a gravel drop zone with penalty stroke.
Hole 3 - NO OB
Hole 4 - Triple Mando off tee. If missed re-tee with penalty stroke. There is OB left side marked with orange stakes.
Hole 5 - Triple Mando off tee. If missed re-tee with penalty stroke. There is NO OB. Down by the basket, there is a Double Mando thru fence. If both partners miss it, go to gravel drop zone with penalty stroke.
Hole 6 - Triple Mando thru art structure. If missed go to GREEN tee pad as drop zone with penalty stroke. NO OB.
Hole 7 - OB right over/thru fence - 2 meter relief from fence.
Hole 8 - NO OB
Hole 9 - OB right over/thru fence and long by basket as marked - 2 meter relief from fence
Hole 10 -NO OB
Hole 11 - There is a line with logs that defines a hazard area. Anything short of this is a hazard with penalty strokes. Both teams would have to be short of this to be penalized. Around the basket is 2 areas marked with rocks. Inside this area is OB. If a disc goes in to these areas, you would mark back inbounds and take a penalty stroke
Hole 12 - Heart Island is in play. If both players miss the island, you can play from whichever you like but it is a hazard stroke for all shots outside of the island. If both are out on any subsequent lies, it is another hazard stroke.
Hole A - NO OB
Hole B - NO OB
Hole C - NO OB
Hole D - NO OB
Hole 13 - OB right side marked with orange stakes
Hole 14 - NO OB
Hole 15 - OB surrounded by water in pond. There is a marked area with concrete chunks. This area is marked as unplayable and you get free relief.
Hole 16 - Mando off tee as marked. If both players miss it, re-tee with penalty stroke. NO OB
Hole 17 - Mando off tee as marked. If both players miss is, re-tee with penalty stroke. OB past stump wall by pond
Hole 18 - Double Mando thru posts. If both missed it, go to PURPLE tee pad with penalty stroke. NO OB
Hole 19 - OB long as marked and surrounded by water in pond. For point of reference it starts at the birdhouse and goes left to fence.
Hole 20 - NO OB
It's going to be a fun day. Our address is: 21208 Meadow Lane 47041
We have a shared driveway. We are the first one on the right.
We will do check in between 830-915a in the garage. There will be a brief players meeting, with the goal of tee off as close to 930a as possible.
In regards to the bonus round, the most asked question is if the first round scores carry over. THEY DO NOT. The bonus round starts over fresh. Both rounds are best disc format. The top 5 teams are invited to stay and play. If any of those teams cannot make it, it does not trickle down to the next team. Only those with the top 5 scores are invited for the bonus round.
This is going to be a fun day, and we are glad you are sharing it with us.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks and see you on 7/4!
